He couldn't, because every gold mine was occupied by creeps. He kept pushing and didn't have time to clean a gold mine before expanding. It's weird to see an expo with only one tower, and that was enough to hold Grubby attacks.

The fast expansion of the Hu gave him a better and fast gold pace even if you hurt the expansion still he has the main. Grubby did all he could. Both players are awesome. That 100 win rate is crazy damn.

Not "we" made mistakes - you made mistakes. When we win - it's we, when you lose - you're on your own, sorry. /s On a serious note, we took the fights we shouldn't have fought: should have picked apart his army bit by bit with hit & run using the entangle, before his army had enough firepower. Instead, lost dryads trying to focus elementals, while his actual army was growing. Due to that, he was able to defend the expo and was controlling the situation 80% of the time since then. Good game, the opponent deserved his playing to be seen by the world.

I have a serious question please i need an answer. If you play night elf in a 2v2 with a HU ally and you buy human staff of teleportation in his shop. Human dead and you have the last base . If your tree of life is not rooted so moving what will happen to the unit which is staffed ? Will it freeze while the tree can walk away ?

Wow the fight at the expo at 9:45 was nice positioning micro. But yeah entangle and treants seem too strong along with level 6 ulti.. Also you scouted expo really early but then continue to creep another two orange/red camps and not expo yourself while having map control? Should have killed his expo or built one yourself while creeping. That's what lost you the game. I guess you though you could kill his expo but he defended it with just one arcane lol

I guess I have a random question, why is everybody picking alchemist in all these videos it seems as second hero? I've been watching for a while but before he was kind of a meme as well a lot of the tavern hero's it seemed, did something change in one of the more recent patches? Like it looks like his heal doesn't heal enemies anymore which is obviously a huge buff but that's all I have personally noticed. Also can somebody also explain why everybody is buying mercenaries now it seems like every game as well? I don't recall seeing grubby do this in videos i saw like a year ago then I stopped watching and only tarted watching again recently this last month or so. I don't actively play the RTS anymore, but mainly custom games, but once the new one comes out later this year I probably will again.

Simple, healing spray now only works on your own units. With a consistent source of mana (brilliance aura on human, moon wells on NE), it's like having a never-ending on-demand healing scroll. On top of that, alch's other abilities are relevant, especially acid bomb, and his ultimate is very strong too. He also mitigates human's rifle caster greatest weaknesses, which is being picked off and nuked.

@@HiddenWen Do they plan on giving some of the other heros a buff as well to compensate for the lack of pick rate? Like i can't recall the last time somebody legitimately picked heros like pitlord, tinker, firelord, etc that seem to get picked a lot less despite (two) of the three having summons, and one of them having a pretty strong dmg negation and rain fire being similar to blizzard but with burn damage after. I'm probably just ignorant to why they're not picked and it not being because they're bad, but just wondering. I'm just curious since with reforged in the works I wonder if they're going to try and make them feel more equal or possibly add more tav heros being a wish/rumor on some forms and what not.

I actually went 32-0 on a new account back in the day. It was an orc TC 1st rush 32 games in a row lol. There were far more opponents back then though, so much easier. It was still super sweet to accomplish though. And I went 17-0 FFA once as well. I miss old FFA :(

@@FollowGrubby I don't remember if my 17-0 account was during my NE days or my Human days. But when I was NE I would go for Alchemist/Dark Ranger for long term value via Transmute/Charm and would turtle and go anti air at first with a lot of protectors until 6 and then just run around the map stealing high end units from each player. Just enough to not piss anyone off too badly. Then of course the NE deathball air army. My NE days were before FFA was limited to 4 players. I always made sure to attack a little from each player, particularly anyone with too many gold mines. of course you have to play politics too. The most important thing with both races was downvoting all the small maps and keeping maps that had great turtling opportunities. My human days were a bit of 6 player ffa and also when it was limited to 4. My main strat with Human was to turtle as many mines as possible (usually like 6-7) and then mass copters, believe it or not, and then fly around the map sniping each player's air army really quickly, gaining massive amounts of experience on the obviously very strong 3 human heroes that are just a beast of an army by themselves once high level and equipped (Mage,Pal,MK). Then I'd switch to a typical army once it got to the late game and my extra levels on my heroes and extra gold from all the mines would guarantee victory. This was before "roflcoptor" was a thing. Tbo I always felt like I vastly contributed to "roflcoptor :P". I always valued NE and Human for FFA because they have a bit of exponential growth in the power of moon wells and towers that don't cost food.

It's worth uploading, since grubby is a GREST player, he also tech us how to play, and i think his point of view is that we can actually learn something from this game. You cant win all the time, that Xzz tactics will be counter in some point
