Maiev was not a stranger to Malfurion. I was reading up about this the other day. Maiev was a high ranking priestess of Elune at the time of the War of the Ancients and even took over as high priestess at one point when Tyrande was someone absent. She and Tyrande were always at loggerheads I think. So Malfurion would have known her for over ten thousand years though they may never have been friendly.

if you give illidan all of the orbs and other prominent inventories that you took so far in the night elf campaign, he gets to have them in the alliance campaign!

in the original it clearly shows the bridge break with her on it and her falling into the water. That was definitely a deforged moment.

It was a bug, the animation was the same as in classic for me when I played it almost two weeks ago. Not that I think it excuses it though, there are impressively many minor visual and audio bugs all around the entire campaign, even after 4 patches

11:30 You should've kept blinking to the right to get Maiev up on that ledge (you also don't need the mountain giants to get her there), you eventually get back on the road so you can cheese this mission and kill the stationed enemies as extra enemy units don't spawn before the caravan triggers them, and also complete the optional quest without risking friendly losses.

Wow -- I really missed a lot of secret areas in the caravan exodus mission (the first of these) (in the Classic version, anyway -- maybe they added stuff in the Reforged version?). Then again, I was afraid that if I messed around with anything else, the caravan would be destroyed. Impressive that Grubby was able to get away with destroying the southwest Undead base and attacking the east Undead base. In the Classic version, I tried attacking the east Undead base so that I could expand, but while I was able to succeed in this, it consumed so much time that I couldn't kill the Summoners before the clock ran out. Never tried taking the southwest Undead base -- looks like that one is easier. Note that not only are the Naga's Couatl ridiculously overpowered with their massive Piercing DPS, but their Dragon Turtles are also ridiculously good at wrecking buildings. In the Classic version of The Brothers Stormrage, I found the opposite: I HAD to destroy Undead bases to be able to stay alive and make headway, because they attacked my Night Elf base much earlier and much more often and harder, from both north and south, and I ran out of resources if I didn't take their bases. In the cut scene after The Brothers Stormrage: Grubby does _How It Should Have Ended_ -- Awesome!

haha, naga as a race in war3 reforged was mentioned by few fans as well, also the the demon race addition we used in the later campaign because just remaking war3 with no new content is just money grab

Maiev is the good guy here. Illidan is literally working for the burning legion. Also commanding an army that intends to invade everything. Furion and Tyrande are incompetent and stupid as always.

Kael's motivation to serve Illidan is the most stupid and bizarre thing on warcraft's history, his entire homeland was destroyed by the scourge that was led by the legion (Arthas directly did it, but by orders of demons) and then he immediately swear loyalty to Illidan (which is a demon) that serves to the literal colleague of Archimonde? wtf?
