Idk if it work in the Reforged, but in the original, in the level where you play both Illidan and Malfurion, you could transfer the Shadow orb to Illidan, and then he has it in this level as well.

Great series Grubby! It looks as if all new models have faces more resembling the anatomy of real human faces. It makes everything look so similar, the original is still much more creative, artistic and aestatically pleasing!

Death Mask is exactly what Illidan needs

Blood Elves are High Elves, or at least most of them. They just changed their name for the sake of remembering the bloodshed Arthas caused. That's how it is in the time of this mission. Some High Elves still keep calling them High Elves. You can probably distinguish them to the ones who stayed with Kirin Tor and the ones from their origin country (Quel'thalas) who followed Kael'thas. This is also further magnified later when the ones following Kael'thas started using Fel magic to feed after the destruction of Sunwell and their eyes changed to green. Kirin Tor High Elves still have their eyes blue. But I'm not sure where were those High Elves at the time of this campaign as the Blood Elves were actually defending Dalaran before they fled to Outland, so no idea, maybe a plot hole while trying to keep High Elves in the lore? Maybe someone else will fill my gaps :)

Since Dalaran wasn't the only place you could find High Elves, presumably a few survivors missed the exodus organized by Prince Kael'thas, and also missed the purges organized by Garithos, and thus ended up remaining in the remnants of the Alliance.

I took 3 attempts to destroy it. Army consists mainly of couatls dragonhawks and myrmidons luckily they didn’t rebuild buildings. But they had tons of dragons

my favorite characters in war3 were arthas and illidan. i was shocked to hear arthas gets killed off as a raid boss in wow. arthas was so cool during the campain, then got discarded. in contrast, illidan achieves nothing of significance in the campaign, but continues to play a major role in wow. if war4 ever comes about, i hope they just continue the story from TFT without caring about wow.

The difficulty scales so strangely. I don't remember it being that way before. One mission is super easy, the next seems impossible until you get the correct combo lol

First mission of this video: Same lore, but new rendition (including but not limited to turning Illidan's cage into a mobile giant gemstone). It didn't seem to me like you could win by camping the Mana Fountain in Classic -- I think they may have accidentally changed the map so that the AI of the Night Elf forces can be abused. And I could have sworn that the Panda had no Inventory in the Classic version. Second mission of this video: Couatls are great against most things, but don't quite cut it against buildings in a heavily-defended Orc base with lots of units (like Fel Raiders) that have a good armor type against them -- at least in the Purple Orc base in Classic (in Reforged, they seem to do okay against the Orange Orc base). Dragon Turtles are your friend for this. Also, I agree with what somebody else posted here in putting the Mask of Death on Illidan, since he's your tank when he isn't closing a portal. But when he is, you need to keep making stuff as your units die or get Possessed.

As a secret level, completing the TD level isn’t required for progression.
