I'm not quite sure why people are saying that this cat is upset or scared. Her ears aren't back. Her tail is not flicking. Her fur is down. I imagine the area is cleared of most people so that they can get clear shots. Which means there's not much for her to be scared by. She seems completely calm. I've seen scared cats before. This isn't it.

Garth LK Other comments (and her wiki entry) state that it is because she has feline dwarfism. While obviously not ideal, she's had it for all her life, so she is as well as she has ever been.

hirnbrei frisst dich nachts Munchkins are a bit different than a dwarf cat. If you notice, munchkins look and move the same way as a normal cat, but with tiny legs. Grumpy cat does not.

I have no idea why people are bad mouthing Grumpy Cat and her owners. I see nothing wrong with anything Grumpy Cat is doing. Trader Sauce seems to be taken everything in stride. Also I rather see a cat get all kinds of love & compassion than homeless or neglected & abused. Grumpy is not abused. Seems to me you all are just jealous of her fame and money making career.
