@@zombirizen yes, Cole and Marmalade are cute. I have two more cute / fun cat videos you can check, they're less famousbut I love them. One is a 'river dance cat' that does a crazy dance while eating / drinking. The other one is a 'guitar cat', his owner plays a guitar and the cat is putting it's head on the guitar playing / moving hand. In this way he gets petted / scratched behind his ear...The way the cat is sitting is so cute and funny (it's called guitar effect cat)

I love cat videos, but I'm disturbed about that blond lady at the very beginning, YANKING the whitd cat up by his or her tail. I work with animals and you are NEVER EVER EVER supposed to do that. You can dislocate or detach the caudal bones and also the sacral bones - this could paralyze your cat. It's an act of cruelty. The nerves in that area affect bladder and bowel functions, the cat will use the bathroom on himself and drag his lower half around.....Just FYI. :-( That shouldn't be included in the video......

Yep. My cat is shy around new people, ESPECIALLY male people he doesn't know. And his claws are kept super sharp so he can easily climb trees if the extended family with dogs comes over. He can climb to the top of a tree in two seconds flat! I could totally see him yowling, gouging peoples' hands with his claws, then climbing up the walls if he got brought to a place like that. Comes of being an outdoor cat that lives in the country and was raised by two women, I think.

I think the real reason cat videos are more popular than videos of other cute animals is that they are a lot more spontaneous than say dogs or hamsters. You can train a dog to do tons of stuff and then film it, but with a cat you just sort of have to get lucky and capture them doing something cute or funny or whatever. In a way cats are the one pet that are able to have some mystery as well. Maybe not so much for an indoor cat like mine, but outdoor cats live a whole second life that their owners take no part in and can only really speculate about.

There is this cat in the window of a store(sometimes in the window) and sometimes at night we go by there just to see the cat-The other day we asked the staff if we could meet the cat (they told us she is called Kittie-)and they took us back to see her having a catnap- she is adorable and large and aloof- she has one eye and they rescued her when she was going to be put down at the shelter- seems no one wants an imperfect cat but they took her in- . I just think it sweet to visit with her and one of the people working there told us that she has a fan club- not an official one but one where people bring her treats at Christmas time or another one of their customers brought her a basket to nap in. So I can see how this craze can take off in a large scale. Kittie lives at Baubles in Darien, CT Absolutely worth a visit.
