GRUNDIG C6000 AUTOMATIC: LED UPGRADE

In this video I check out and upgrade this nice Grundig radio cassette player.
I upgrade it with a LED strip, instead of just replacing the incandescent light
bulb.

Great video. It was my first piece of tech at the age of 14 in 1974. I saved up £100 for it - a LOT of money back then. I loved it so much, especially the lovely deep bass and classic Grundig design. I still have it but it doesn't work any more. One day I'll take a look and see if I can fix it.

Love the content! Tear down and repair vids are my therapy sometimes. Ditch the elevator music though 😅 it’s terrible (sorry I’m a metal fan 🤘🤘)

You destroy the Radio because you do not use bulbs....in those old devivces...never use LED.... sorry, that is what i think....

I made everything fully reversible. And the LEDs create far less heat than the fluorescent bulb.

Yes, I should have used warm white or yellow. But I used, what I got. Didn't want to spend extra money 😏

No it does not. Only an input for a speaker, as far as I can remember.

_The led strip will burn non-stop when your cassette player is playing. I do not like that. You had to make a special micro switch so that it lights up only when you need it, so it lights up all the time._
