I truly believe he was one of the most talented actors of our generation. He NEVER played a role that I didn’t FULLY believe him in. He played every single role he was ever given SO incredibly well.

Rip Odd Thomas! Anton was also in one of my fave bands music videos (holding on for life by broken bells). His death was such a huge tragedy, I remember gasping when I heard the news. 💔

What makes me really sad… is watching Alpha Dog… the beginning is actually family video of him growing up. Seeing him as a baby, toddler and child. You never see someone’s end while watching their youth.

Despite his untimely passing at the age of 27, Yelchin's potential in the film industry and his iconic roles, notably as Chekov in the Star Trek reboot films, are immortalized in the heartfelt tribute engraved on his gravestone.

The first time I saw Anton in action was in Spielberg’s mini series “Taken” screened in 2 hour segments over a week or so on TV in 2002. He was just a little kid … maybe 8 or so, and was a half human/half alien experiment born in small town Texas. Remember the Lubbock Lights? Just Anton’s Dad making sure all is well. When I saw him on the new Star Trek, I recognized him from that long ago series. I still miss his humour, easy laughter and remarkable acting. Another great loss to humanity. Rest well, Anton! 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦

@@Sagetttarius I was lucky enough to buy the box set of the Taken series over 20 years ago. It’s a family favourite and we watch the whole thing at least once/year. Anton is my favourite halfbreed alien! So sad he was gone so soon. 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦

My nephew, an only child, died at age 26. This was truly horrible for our family, however, it has been especially hard for my sister and for my brother in law, who have been like walking zombies since his accidental death. I fear that they will never recover from their horrific grief and tragic loss. Losing a child must be in a way like a hidden death sentence for the parents, who unfortunately have to try to function in the public domain and appear to be productive and content, while still having to deal with their daily grief behind closed doors...

Do you know what’s truly haunting? It’s how Anton may have felt during his final moments. He had to experience such unimaginably agonizing pain for a whole minute while knowing he was going to die and there were no witnesses until he actually died and yet, he’ll never get to share those unimaginable feelings and his family and friends have to live the rest of their lives knowing that. The automaker has to think about how they would feel if they experienced the same thing Anton did!

He is still there in the gravesite. His parents visit him almost everyday and it traps him there. His voice has been recorded multiple times in the past at his grave area. Other spirits around him talks to him also. I understand his parents miss him, but going to his gravesite almost everyday is not good for Anton either. He needs to move on along with his parents.
