Doesn't really matter the graphics don't stand the ultimate test of time.. As a 3rd person game, the diversity of the level design (and faithfulness to the movies) is pretty spectacular.

Ah yes, the Southern Gate. That one level where if you were smart about it you could max out a character's level and buy nearly every group upgrade in the game by the time you finished. :P

I remember playing through the storyline that you couldn't replay a level untill you completed the game.

I think he's referring to using Bane attacks to quickly pump your meter, then procedeing to cut down as many enemies (and there ARE many) as possible while it holds, rinse and repeat. By the time you finished the mission 3 times with Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli you'll find yourself with an obscene amount of exp points for upgrades.

I played this level a lot with a friend and my brother. We never managed to complete the level after, we couldn't find the way down and up where you had to kill the mumakil's. Eventually we figured out how it worked (damn near invisible ramp down). By that time, I had level Legolas to the max with all the upgrades. The Nazgul didn't stand a chance xD

Me and My brother would just try to get through the level alive. Last year I emulated the game on my PC and used banes and combos and realized you can get 90% of your kills in perfect mode without any cheats and be all set for pellenor fields

This Lvl was great. Like hundreds of orcs to fight and none of them had shields or bows. I used this lvl to get Legolas mastery so he could kill trolls in 1 hit lol

Believe it, the highest level in this game is 20 and yes the 30 stands for ammo. I do still have this game and really need to play it again. This level and the Black Gate are the best levels that exist. -3 this game

I am crazy with Gimli. When me and my brother would play this, he would fight Orcs and goblins somewhere else and I'll be on the other side of the game doing the same thing and he told me that he saw on his peripheral vision of my axe swinging everywhere like crazy lol

I used to always play this level to get the characters to a higher level. I used the banes to get into perfect mode constantly to get the most experience points. I also didnt stop until I cleared the entire area of orcs like a badass xDD

@Zachary Perez yep, I was a kid at the time so I can’t remember how we did it, I think there is some ring or something that lets you break the limit. It’s something to do with ‘negative’ levels
