@@elocsepins Don’t get butthurt. It’s reality of war/conflict. It’s not cheap. If you want to “participate” then you do what you can. If you can barely be “lethally poor” then cool, this isn’t context directly for you, but can be applied still. Some will have more capability than others. Some can help fund others that can’t fund themselves. When it comes down to it, instead of buying one chest rig for $275, you buy four Condor or surplus rigs for less than $200. Instead of buying 1 Daniel Defense AR, you buy 5 PSA ARs. Instead of buying $600 comms kit, buy $100 worth of Baofengs, and upgraded antennas with PTTs. Lots of cheap contingency kits, caches, spread out because chances are in the most probable scenarios we face, you will have to ditch the kit to blend it and save your life to fight another day. Lots of evidence in the last 100 years of insurgency and guerrilla warfare that support this.

Not true. Research Neighborhood Watch coordination with law enforcement. Many departments will support & appreciate your efforts so long as you’re trained and participate in some sort of “civilian” augmentation capacity. A good start is getting involved in your community’s C.E.R.T. Program and get certified. If your community’s emergency services and law enforcement don’t support such, you have the capability to initiate such programs as afforded by law. You just have to conduct a smidgen of due-diligence . Grunt Proof’s right; The Average American refuses to accept accountability nor actually craves craves independence and would rather complain about being forced into laziness rather than doing something about it.

Certain things the military knows and does are good for us to learn as well, but we have to understand the fact that they have the entire defense budget at their disposal and a massive global network to support it. They're also doing different things than we are, they're occupying and controlling areas, special operations, peacekeeping operations, massive expendature of manpower and resources on an international scale, we're bleeding an invading force dry one cut at a time while still having to live our normal lives as best we can because we still have families to feed. We're doing different things and should probably be prepared, trained, and equipped differently than the military. No 10 round mag Fudd bs, but maybe a plate carrier and helmet with multicam fatigues would actually be more trouble than help if we ever needed to use the knowledge and equipment we have.

If we are talking "Gray Man" apparel.... Walmart wrangler 5 pocket pants. Cheap, light, enough spandex to be flexible, and dry relatively quick compared to jeans. plain t shirts, no logos work boots, well broken in plaid patten long sleeve shirt... breaks the pattern up at distance Stay away from black coats/hats. Don't believe me, have your buddy walk across the town square and view with a scope. Dark colors contrast well and are more easily spotted. One of the most sensible videos I’ve seen. About 8 + years ago I was introduced to you tube. I stumbled into Bushcraft videos which I really enjoyed because I grew up camping and hunting. Then stumbled into some prepper channels which I was first exposed to being prepared during the Cuban missile crisis. Then Y2K and started slowly increasing supplies and knowledge on potential possibilities. Now at 74, still needing to hone my skills more than ever, I can no longer run and gun, but am still at 50% of the two. As fitting in, in this area I feel a little left out without a tractor, a side by side, or a tractor. As for clothing, anything less than business casual is in style. Sometimes my situational awareness slips but quickly returns. Learning gardening and food preparation and continually trying to better home security. I’ve been through the Prepper channels and still have some favorites. There is always something to learn or refresh the memory bank. RLTW

Great points. If there is SHTF, I see both. If the neighborhoods get together to protect each other, those patrolling and sitting at the barriers to the various streets may wear more imposing (tactical) clothing to let people know that they are ready and able to protect. If you are occupied or in enemy territory, then grayman makes more sense.

I've been working on this concept I call, Clandestine Carry. There will be tasks that require a level of discretion and quick action, that requires groups to blend in. What you carry then I feel is more important than what you'd carry as a full-fledged minuteman. We get that you need a rifle, plate carriers, TQ, radio, etc. How many times are you going to be doing a full assault op though? A lot of what I carry and gear towards is this Clandestine Carry concept. I dress like a hipster cos I live in Chicago. When I go to the rural areas, I wear flannel and ball caps. When I lived in the desert I wore sun shirts and hiking pants. You have to adapt not just your kit but yourself to the area. In all those areas I had full medical, a handgun, and occasionally a rifle or shotgun in an atypical carrying case. If people really think they're going to do work in the end times, train to do it in gym shorts, and watch how well you can scale to do a real operation with battle rattle

Medium small town here. Rural, surrounded by corn and soybeans. Nearest towns 7 miles, nearest hospital 30 or so. Median age in town mid thirties. You know how America has more guns than people? This town is part of the reason. And ammo stockpiles, I'm not the only person with ten thousand rounds plus on my block. Guys that practice shooting 2" targets at 800 yards, welders, heavy equipment operators, lots of working stiffs. People carry so much, not that it is needed, but that it is expected of us, we are a free people. And there's thousands of towns like this in middle America. No one is looking for zombies, for orcs. And even the occasional orc that visits town to see a friend in the apartment complex is told don't be a fool around here. I'm 67, walk over a thousand miles a year in this town with a big dog and a pack for his water and mine. And a few other things. Unmolested for thirty seven hundred miles now.

I think you hit on something at the first of the video. I am a 52 year old dude who has had health issues (stage 3 cancer survivor among other things) and has no illusions about the physical shape I am in. I also live in rural East Tennessee and have never been in the military. If trouble came to my area I would certainly be willing to fight alongside my friends and neighbors but we would certainly be 'irregulars'. Further, why would I load up and leave my friends and family to go and fight for New York or California? Heck, I'm probably not even going to be all that motivated to go to the other end of the state and fight for Memphis. That is just the reality. Something else to consider is that we Americans often do, in daily life, identify with our state, region, etc. more than the country as a whole. Our Founders were the same way. They were often fighting for Virginia or Massachusetts, etc. The colonies may have been fighting for a common cause and there was the idea of 'join or die' but many were fighting for their homes, families, etc. Wheen you consider that the state of Texas is BIGGER than the country of Iraq (by quite a bit), the state of California is about the same size as Iraq and even my state of Tennessee is about 1/4 the size of the entire country of Iraq it begins to make sense that we, as irregulars, insurgents, etc. would identify with/fight for our area, state or maybe region of the country. As far as clothing, I am an office worker. I wear mostly Dockers (and similar) and polos to work. I don't wear jeans all that often even if I am not at work because I don't find them to be all that comfortable. I do wear cargo pants, sometimes but those are usually the Docker type, as well and that type of cargo pants/shorts isn't uncommon in my area. Flannel is pretty common here - probably because it is pretty inexpensive, comfortable and a flannel shirt or jacket over your regular clothes is often enough to keep you warm during the greatest part of our Winters. Carhartt, Dickies, etc. are common, as well.

We already have cartels operating all over US, 3000 undocumented mostly military age males crossing into US daily, China military members amongst them etc. US military is imploding, as the whole country, while at same time police are standing down in many cities and all you get is a voicemail. We Will experience extreme violence off some kind, organized against US citizens very soon as planned by these domestic and foreign enemies. 11b combat veteran advice is to all other grunts clean up, get your minds in the game and prepare for worse soon. Here in Texas it's tan/coyote work boots or some form of cowboy work boots like ariat or Justin. Faded worn blue jeans depending on age you can get away with overalls and not get noticed. Shirt range from tee shirts to button down depending on age. Flannel is never seen except by people not from here and you'll stick out like a sore thumb so avoid those here. Even black boots aren't very common. Go into any store that sells boots from a western outfitter to Walmart and look at all the work boots and coyote will dominate the shelves with just a few black or other colors. Hunting stores sell camo but those are usually more like snake or mud boots and only worn during deer season and you better be wearing full hunting camo otherwise you'll get odd looks. Hunting pattern shirts are common but not any form of military style camo again that'll get you noticed fast while a mossy oak camo shirt won't attract any attention no matter time of year. Like he said fit your area, it just so happens normal Texas hill country atire works in urban areas as well as out in ranch country.

Good topic. Gray Man Style to blend in with the crowd and environment is a proven way. Civilian stuff. There are two good books to learn this stuff: "Gray Man" and "Appear to Vanish" by Matthew Darmody. And it's not only about what to wear and what not to wear. It is also about how to move and how to behave, as well as of what and how to think. Because your thoughts also travel around, and as a gray man, you don't want to raise a bad feeling or suspicion. You want to not leave any impression, as you have never been there. Invisible, like the air.

That said sometimes grey man makes one a target. In these more peaceful times, the hint of a buddy under the jacket may cause pause. That said a problem I am in noticing more is group organized crime aka circling pack hunters. They will take anything on. The mask mandate media and members of governance have a lot to answer for by normalizing masks. Masks are a tool for criminals. And mask don't stop the spread of disease, it is a psyop for weak mind comforting and the inculcation of submissive behavior.

Good informative video, I’m in Appalachia, hoodies are very commonplace where here. Open carry of guns and knife are common place, my preference is concealed. Also hunter camouflage is very popular among the population. Jeans and bibs are most common pants, shorts and t shirts in summer . Wearing a military field jacket or shirt is not uncommon. Because of the pockets I wear and old school OD green field jacket. Those were a big trend in the seventies.i guess 6 out of 10 people I see today will be wearing a hoodie, including myself . During the warmer months I wear a boonie hat and or a baseball type cap

Where I live (Western Washington, but not in Seattle or Bellevue), 50 year old white guys wear jeans, some sort of t-shirt, ball cap, Merrell (or similar) trail boots, a hoodie or flannel in the winter. They carry a decent phone, wear a beard most likely, have a leatherman or folding knife clipped in their pocket. That's how you dress and look if you want to blend in here. I have found a few items of what I call "improvised camo" It's not camo, but it's a nice pattern with lots of earth tone colors. For example. I have a long sleeve shirt that's ment for fishing (good uv block, good wicking, light, dries fast) it covered in green shamrocks ☘️ of different hues. They almost look natural and very close to real. Just walking around in public the shirt wouldn't be described as camo, but out in the woods it blends in soooooo well.

A no frills older all white pickup truck with an equally old bed box , with a worn brown Carhartt coat , a STANLEY lunch box up front and a old scratched up white hardhat all on the seat will get you into most semi low security sites without anyone paying you any mind at all . As for where to stash a weapon, well that is what old hollow clip boards are , that have been lined with foam and have a cutout for a pistol and mags to not rattle around in . Don’t forget the yellow steno pad and a tiny little brass lock to slap in place , just so you don’t “accidentally spill any invoices out” ...😂 If it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck then most likely it’s just a non-threatening duck !
