I hear about body kits, but are there chassis kits?

There is very little in the way of chassis kits available (a hole in the market perhaps?). Mosskito do small 4 wheel ones intended for diesel locos, but they are produced in batches and sell out quickly. Golden Arrow sell chassis etches through their eBay, but they don't include wheels, years or motors. I believe Branchlines made some, but I'm not sure if they're still in production

@@FortheLoveofSteam Definitely a hole in the market! You can 3-D print most things, even gears, but how would you do a wheel with its metal rim? There's a market niche for a wheel and wheelset supplier, with wheels of various (true) diameters available. I could use some 7, 10.5, and 14 mm wheels just offhand; with sector or crescent counterweights. Even just the rims - I could glue or press-fit my own centers.

I don't know how you'd go about making your own wheelsets! About the only supplier I know of is Mosskito, via Dundas or Light Railway Stores
