I live in a small town in Sask, Canada and heard No se va...and love all especially with Carin Leon 💃🏽 and i dont even speak spanish but i gravitated to Grupo Frontera because its like with late Selena...i dont speak spanish but i can translate it myself to have an idea to what they are singing about because ive been taking notes, subtitles...translating myself. What made me drawn in was the voice, the vibe of not only the lead singer its the vibe of the band too. I got a tshirt and hat ordered already...bc they are will make it to Canada. 💃🏽💃🏽 i always tell everyone that too...people get tired of me asking "can i play 1 Grupo song?" 😂 Ps; Let Carlos speak more... And thats what Abraham said to Selena..."u gotta be more mexican than the mexican and more american than the american both at the same time...its exhausting" 😂

Tejano is what I was raised on and Abraham Quintanilla is 100% correct. You have to be more Mexican than the Mexicans and more American than the Americans. It really has been exhausting. Lol I love your comment.

I grew up listening to Selena Y Los Dinos, Mazz, La Mafia, La Tropa F, Jay Perez, Emilio Navaira, and more. Frontera really brought back that classic Tejano sound, and now they're taking it to the next level. So dope to see these guys blowing up.

Great Mexican music has been around for a very long time, and it’s just being recently discovered by other audiences thanks to social media and music apps, like Apple Music, KZbin, and Spotify. This generation of Mexicans, Mexican-Americans and Latin American artists are very fortunate to be living in this era of globalization, which previous artists like Vicente Fernández, Los Tigres Del Norte, Ramón Ayala y sus Bravos del Norte, Los Bukis didn’t have social media when they were starting, yet, they were able to make a name for themselves. In short, it’s a great opportunity for Spanish singing artists to showcase their music to the world! 🎶🌎

What people don’t know is that tejano is the base genre for this type of music.

That is correct. It’s a south Texas sound of Tejano. That sound was created right there in the RGV.

The best thing about hipanic in the border is that they take pride in their music as oppose to hispanic in Dallas or Houston, where thise hispanic are more into rap, hip hop, and forget about their heritage. But in the 956 are they take pride and have taken the Tejano/ norteño music to a different level.
