On June 29 and 30, 2024, the sixth international festival of ethnic music "This is Ethno" was held in St. Petersburg.
The festival "This is Ethno" once again demonstrated the beauty and originality of ethnic music - music that brightens reality with bright colors and, as a universal and understandable free language, unites people all over the world.

A few years ago, my son and his wife gave their teenaged sons two Otava Yo CDs for Christmas, as they were taking Russian in school. This started the boys on a road of learning and appreciating Russian folk music which has since spread through all the family. We love the beautifully-made videos. One fun thing about the group is that the one musician named Aleksey, with the white beard and hair, looks so much like my son-in-law's father. When I mentioned this to others, they would all say, "You see that too? They are so alike!". The father's family is from Crimea, so we say some cousin wandered up to St. Petersburg. Thank you for all the enjoyment.
