I didn’t finish any books in May because I’m a slow reader, but there’s a new release in June that I’m super excited for. It’s called Ballad of Sword and Wine and it’s a Chinese historical novel that’s getting its first official English release on June 4. It’s an enemies to uneasy allies to lovers romance between two men in opposing factions of the imperial court. I read part of it when the fan translation was still online and I love the main couple and how they learn to trust each other and work together to uncover all this courtly intrigue and conspiracy happening behind the scenes. There’s also a side romance between a female general and a lady of the court! Word of warning though, the cast is very large and the plot is filled with twists and intrigue, which I love, but sometimes it feels like you need a cheat sheet to remember everything lol.

Lisa Jewell is a great author. Then she was gone was a creepy book, I read it a very long time ago and you reminded me of the ending. Chevy Stevens is another suspense thriller author. She is FANTASTIC! I binged read all her books, you should read some of her stuff.

a little life is my favourite book of all time. books dont make me emotional but i definitely felt something reading it, definitely teared up over the ending. i agree that its such a well written book but not for everyone. it put me in the biggest reading slump of all time though because i felt like no other book could compare! i read three books in may! 1. just for the summer - this was my least favourite of the part of your world series, i found some parts a bit cringey but i loved justin so much he was adorable. 4 stars 2. my dark vanessa - while this was an important book i just found myself getting bored while reading it, one of those books with triggering themes so definitely check trigger warnings. i gave it 3 stars. 3. my roommate is a vampire - this was by far my fav read of may. i flew through it and i was giggling the whole time. fredrick is precious. 4.5 stars!

Finally starting Fourth Wing this month! I feel bad that you didn't vibe with The Bone Witch, it's one of my favorite series! I know you said you're not super interested but if you're ever given the chance, the second and third books are much better imo, not as much world building in those!

I read 14 books last month too, I didn't realize I read that many. But I enjoyed some mafia romance and contemporary romance as well as a few thrillers, so over all a decent mix of genres. You look amazing today and I hope you enjoy your Sunday. 😘💜

I loved them she was gone! Great thriller. I just wrapped up the once upon a broken heart series, needed something more lighthearted after a dark romance and I liked it! I'd rate it 4 stars overall.

Lisa Jewell is one of my fav authors. If you love a thriller, check out Karin Slaughter. She’s graphic but such good stories.

I read 19 books for May but one of my favorite books that I read that was a 5 star for me is the Lightlark series by Alex Astor. There’s two books out rn and they’re both amazing. She’s a newer author and this is her first book series and it’s wonderful.

I finished nine books this month, which is a lot for me. The Knockemout series was so enjoyable, and super fun to read. The last book I read for the month was After Annie by Anna Quindlen. Totally unexpected book I grabbed off the quick read list on Libby near the end of the month. The author hooked me on the first page, and I couldn't put it down. It is sad, but beautifully written. My 5 star read of the month! Highly recommend if you are interested in checking it out.

So I just Checked.. I read 3 books in April, I think that's because I didn't quite reach a level of living reading yet.. but I read 8 books in May, I read the whole crave series besides book 1, I read that in April, and I've read 2 of the acortar books and on the 3rd one now, i read thr first shatter me book, and a book called late bloomer which i loved. Many were bigger.. so I guess I don't read too too slow.. not that it matters of course. 😅

Just finished Dark Places by Gillian Flynn First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston highly recommend! Just starting None of This is True by Lisa Jewell. So far I've loved all the books I've read of hers! How fast do you read?! On one flight?!??? I find it harder to focus in public.

igk dry shampoo! my hair has been trained over the years to not get super oily through not washing it though. i only need to start even using dry shampoo on day 3 or 4. & by days 6-7 it’s 100000% in a bun or ponytail haha
