Oh, girlfriend! My sister lives in Cape Coral, Florida, and we try to get down once a year to visit. I am much more fair than you. That sun hits me HARD. We used SPF and sat under a large umbrella. I live in Michigan, and that heat and sun were definitely intense. I'm not used to that much heat and humidity! I'm glad you had some down time on your vacay. That's what it's for!! 🥰

Hi Cat…oh my god what an experience you all had. Some people (definitely weren’t ladies) just are so self absorbed and don’t care about anyone else. I’m really sorry you and Matt and Ava had to experience that. It was the right thing to do to call security. And yay the rest of your time was smooth sailing. I’ve heard a lot about Tir Tir as well and I’m looking forward to you trying the foundation. It is nice to be home tho isn’t it? Your fur babies missed you. Take care 😊🇨🇦💐

Btw, I have that too faced natural nude palette, its really creamy and blends very well. We'll be gone for almost 2 weeks and I miss my 2 standard poodles boys so, so much.

You’re right. Glad the “incident” happened at the beginning of your vacation and then you were able to enjoy the rest of the week. What kind-of mother allows their toddler to climb those stairs without supervision???! You read about so many children getting hurt nowadays even at the hands of their own parents. Just so sad. We were on a pier at the beach years ago and I could see a toddler playing near the edge of the wall which was about 12 feet above the sand of the beach. There was a pipe railing with two parallel bars which had gaps of 2 feet between the ground and the bars. The parents were busy off- loading their food on the picnic table and we’re not paying attention to their toddler. I kept thinking she’s going to fall over the edge. Sure enough she went sliding over the edge along the cement wall. Luckily the beach sand softened the impact. Thank god she was not seriously hurt. That was scary. BTW your makeup looked great. Love that foundation on you. ❤

Hi Cat! The beach in Florida looks absolutely beautiful! So glad you were able to have such a relaxing holiday (except for the condo adventure!). Otherwise the weather and company were perfect. I went to Palm Springs in January and despite doing all the right things my melasma flared. I think it can be triggered by the heat too. You have to balance all the joy you get in a sunny location with the possibility of seeing our skin change. Oh well.... Your cosmetic shopping was awesome, my friend! It’s not a real vacation without a story, right?! Don’t beat yourself up about the over exposure. You did what you could. Heck, when we were kids, if we even used sunscreen, it was SPF 4 or 8. And sunblock was 15! Glad you treated yourself to some goodies.

I haven't been on a vacation since we got married almost 49 years ago, but I do remember the disgusting smell of Mary Jane from my college days (I have never done drugs, but it was all around me). A toddler in that environment deserves better and so did you! The last time I was in Florida was 2000 when I met my biological sister in Miami, but before that, I was just 16 last time I saw the beach. Haven't been back since that time. I love to walk in warm sand, but I'm more of a mountain gal myself. You look amazing, love that Two Faced palette, Cat. You know, I am blonde and green eyed, but I rarely ever wear SPF. I just don't burn, though I did as a kid, and my theory is that, because we eat almost zero carbs and no sugar or seed oils, there are no toxins to come out through the skin to react with the sun's rays. We eat almost exclusively carnivore for our health and that seems to be one of the side benefits. I'd love to see one of those Cosmetics Company stores one day, not sure where one is around our area, if it is even here at all. I'm glad you had a great time after the initial drama! ~Cynthia
