Girlfriend! Yes about the retainer!! I had braces for 3 years and didn't wear my retainer consistently, then stopped entirely. My teeth have shifted, and I regret that. Also, I was an older mom, too. I didn't marry until I was 31, had my first born (son Alex) at 34, 8 days shy of my 35th birthday, and had my daughter (Amelia) at 37. Tiring but so worth it! They are my life!

Thank you for sharing on your own special day. Yes, to vlogs if you feel it's exciting for you too. Gosh, ignoring my retainer after braces is something I want to regret, at times... I challenged my teeth too, for trying to be thin. Does anyone remember a trendy clothing store that was like forever 21 called "5-7-9" ??(referring to its sizes). Maybe it was a west coast retailer... Well, I couldn't find cute larger clothes many places in the 80s, so I went through the old school Jenny Craig system while in highschool. I took the "paper and paste😵‍💫" tasting weird synthetic food to eat to school for almost a year and then stopped after losing 47 lbs (from over 200), because of cost and I wanted to eat normally. The "counselors," there always pressured me to attain only weighing 108 for being 5'2"-- I never did attain it, yet have pictures to look back at of me looking very thin at 121lbs in the 90s. I developed an eating disorder. I had to still reprogram my brain after the "Waif" model era and to not compare me to my favorite actors on Ally McBeal. Then I jumped onto the Cayenne pepper, lemonade that Beyonce drank all day (but I liked the taste so much too, --I really should have used straws to drink it) Ahh, I just want to hug younger me) I just in the last decade let up on my self critical thinking. This is why I love being over 50, ...our mind set of gratitude to our strength is a gift. I think back to when the stationers' stores sold "Over the hill" cards and decorations for my mom's era of 50s. Thankfully, she didn't buy into it, remaining vibrant, free, and creative. I'm currently repaving some of my back yard to skate on (with all my padding and gear) if I'm feeling the wind and dizzy from spinning, then I'm free from stress. Your hair is fun and cute on you! I love how we all can inspire each other to be creative and smile. --and paint our smiles...😊 Here's to many rewarding adventures this year for you, Cat! 🥳

Since I'm only 5'0, it was the only place where I could find petite clothes to fit! I remember the waif look all too well back in the 90's! What we used to put ourselves through to get that look was so sad! Omg, and I remember Hallmark cards and party decorations for turning 50! How turning 50 was a bad thing! Yikes!
