Okay big sis time… hearing a lot of “while I’m young” and other “society told me this is the timeline for my life” stuff. You are on your own journey! I’m 34, single, live in a studio apartment (that I own!) in the heart of a big city, and am going back to Europe for another solo trip in the spring. if you think settling down in the suburbs is right for you, that’s fine. But please don’t feel like that’s your only path. I can walk to any number of fantastic restaurants, cultural institutions, events, pop-ups, and experiences, and apartment living is way more affordable for maintenance and safety if you want to spend a lot of your time traveling and being out and about. Set your own path and follow your own happiness! Focus in what your heart and gut tell you rather than what you think you “should want” or “should be doing.” ❤❤❤ Happy Christmas!

i got married at 25 and far from had life figured out and when i met my husband i had just graduated from college - hardly had my “cup filled”’or “was thriving” myself... dont feel like you “need” to wait to have all your shit together to be a good partner to someone else - you can grow and figure out life together, build individual and couple goals together, etc - the thing is, is even if you take time to do all these things for yourself to be “ready” to be with someone else, you will still grow and evolve, as will your partner - youll be constantly growing and changing, life will present various ups and downs... and youll be able to go through all that together i just say this because i see a lot of this discouragement right now for women to wait until you have your shit together and you cant be good for someone else until youre good for yourself etc - and so much online stuff right now about ignoring your biological clock, that its a myth, etc ..... and I just want to offer that you dont “have” to buy into this trend and mindset - youll continue to grow and change with or without a partner ... there wont be some magic day youll wake up and suddenly be deemed “officially ready” to be in a relationship... and yes, the biological clock is a very real thing (ask anyone in their late 30s trying to conceive, or look up how much age affects egg quality and miscarriage rates) You are emotionally intelligent, reflective, ambitious, and thoughtful, and emotionally generous - that makes you plenty ready for whatever life throws at you - whether you think its officially time yet or not ❤

Hannah, fun fact: the constant inner dialog is really common among us neurodivergent folks! (You've mentioned being diagnosed with OCD so that makes you one of us.)
