Hi Hannah (my daughter's name, too) and like you, she's always looking for ways to rearrange and refresh her space. You asked for suggestions on how to manage all your cords and power strip -- there are double-sided adhesive strips that you can put on the back of your power strip and attach it to the baseboard so it's out of the way. There are cord covers strips that also are self-sticking on the backside -- it's a nice way to tidy up and hide cords. Good luck with your rearranging! 👍🌞

100% agree with changing up a room. You can move one piece of furniture and the feel of the room is different. It’s like a fresh start. Good job with the rug in your bedroom. I was hesitant and it turned out good. ❤😊

cord hiding molding/cord covers to hide your wires!! you might have to get a slightly longer extension cord so it doesn't have to hide the bulky outlet/ends of the cord too, but they sell it on amazon! or you could build a bigger custom cord hider out of a couple 2x4s & paint it white (an L shape, but upside down in the hall against the wall & floor to make a hidden cord cavity)! love your vlogs; they always bring so much joy

I can’t get over the little carpet scraps! That’s so smart! For your living room, my first thought is a smaller rug layered on top, I did that in my first apartment and your plain beige rug is the perfect background. I didn’t have a coffee table, which usually breaks up the space visually, so stacking a smaller rug on top did the same thing for the eyes without losing space! Also, double the rug, double the cozy for the cold season❤

We just took the carpet out of my room and painted the concrete white until we can put down the laminate flooring. Taking all my stuff out made me realize how much I was cramming into my room, so I got rid of a ton! Now I’m moving furniture around to give it a whole new feel and it’s great! Exhausting, plus a bit of daunting a process, but the results have been so amazing. 🎉

you can take the power strip and put command strips on the back and put it on the wall near the plug, so it is not on the ground in the way. also if you go on amazon they have cord covers to cover the cords and then you can you put on the wall with command hooks, so they do not have to be on the ground !

Hey I had the issue with the power cords. I just bought a london power strip to the length that hides it behind the nearest furniture item and then I bought these like hook nails that you can direct the wire along the wall the way you want it to by hammering it in place
@SheBeZee2 жыл бұрын
You could get another rug for the living room that has some color (maybe a lil green in it to compliment the plant) and layer the neutral rug that you have there now over or under it. For the cord maybe running the big cord along the baseboard and try to hide the extension piece behind something else?

I love apartment make-over videos, and yours did not disappoint. btw - "I'm a real one!". 😆. I had a thought about your cords going down the side of the hallway... what if you ran them up the wall and across the ceiling. I know, sounds crazy, but I've done it before. I used a power strip with a really long cord ( I think it was 10 ft.) and then covered the cords with a cord cover and painted it the same color as the wall. Not sure if it would work, but... maybe worth a look. Really enjoyed this video. Can't wait to see part 2!

I would personally put either the plant from your bedroom next to the couch or one of the rolling carts on there as a side table but only put decor. Also you can layer a darker/different colored rug right by the couch to separate it. The tan rug I would keep though because in a way it makes the room look bigger. It’s all up to you but love seeing your videos and keep being you!! 💜✨

Hannah, they have these cord boxes on Amazon that you can put them into and hide them, but I’m not sure if they will work for the length you have. The other options would be to put hooks into the brick to lift them off the floor and then maybe make a tiny box with wood? Loved this! I remember when I was in my first place (and I’m still there!), I think I spent an entire day trying to switch up furniture, but my place is a historical building with weird outlet locations and radiators, so I spent the day moving stuff, only to move it all back. Hahahaha. But, I love how it’s evolved and I know you’re going to change small things here and there as you evolve in your home too.

Great job on your makeover! For cords- I think cord covers are the solution (I’d get white ones to match that trim below the brick). You can also get these box thingies to hide power strips and excess cord. I’m not sure what they are called, but they’re pretty sleek (meant to go underneath desks and stuff) and have cutouts for the cord to come through.

Good evening. Yes the rug in the living room I'm not sure. I would change it. There's a nice one that target has by project 62 for $100 it's beige shaggy with black line patterns that would bring it out n give it a nice boho look as well. I'm just sayin... I think that would be really cute. I like to decorate so I have an eye for decor

I have an idea for the cords but I don’t know if it’s a good one 😢 You could get one of those fairy lights with bulbs really close together and wrap or along the wires and just pin them to the wall so that they look like the really fancy pathway lighting? Idk if I could explain clearly but the idea is to make the wiring look intentional instead of hiding it also when the lights are on it’ll be difficult to see the wires
