The people around you are aware of how stressful and confusing it is, and I swear to you, they try their best to help you out. You have a huge support system, even if you don’t know them yet. Focus on your grades and personality. Looks and status you can worry about later, your character is what really matters here and is what should be your priority. Make good impressions, but most importantly, be a little selfish…do what makes YOU happy, above anything else :)

My goodness you guys have to do so much! We have a school uniform and no makeup or accessories allowed. The first time i really appreciate it, bc it saves a lot of time, and is not a distraction, and is same for everyone so there's no hierarchy or whatever. Thanks to everyone for your kind words. I really hope things get better too, but I go to a mostly-white school in south Texas and mask mandates here is synonymous with “Democrat” so I’m not sure they’ll be issuing one in my district anytime soon. In fact, up until a couple days ago, it was banned completely to have mask mandates in Texas schools. Add to that record-high hospitalizations, which people in my area keep getting alerts on the emergency system online, well, it doesn’t look good for me. The only thing in holding on to hope for is that maybe next semester I can go in person because switches are locked, meaning I’m probably stuck in virtual until at least next semester.

I took care of them and comforted them when that girl left them for popularity, I was the one that made them happy, I didn’t leave them for some other group, I stuck by there side every single step of the way, when they were going through something. But that girl who left them for popularity, has now lost those people she came back running my best friends and made them unfriended me. It’s so pathetic that she doesn’t even hangout with them at school, only after. I normally wouldn’t say anything like this but I HOPE they all fall out because I know they will come back to me. I will probably take them back but I’ll tell them how stupid they were for trusting this stupid girl who is so selfish to ruin a perfect friendship to get her own way. I get that you want friends and stuff but I didn’t have any drama with this girl, I just acted nice so it wouldn’t effect my old best friends (all of us went out for my old best friends birthday and the girl that left them was there since there mums are best friends) My old best friends still cared about this girl and stuff since they did everything together in primary and there mums are best friends so they are normally out and stuff. I see everyone with these awesome outfits planned, except I have to wear a uniform for the first two weeks of school. Basically it’s a red t shirt with lettering that shows I’m a guide in case you can’t get open your locker, you can’t find your class, etc. But it’s ok. It’s still really fun being a guide.

For incoming freshmans this year or next year, if you dont have friends, I recommend summer school pe. I was in drama and i didnt really loose my friends but i didnt wanna hang around them since they were friends with the girl i had drama with. So when i did summer school pe, i literally made so many friends. And im a shy type person and isnt one to go up to someone and say “hi lets be friends” so I recommend summer school pe😁

@@bumble6879 idk at this point I've tried to get her to let me go but her excuses are that she won't let me go cuz my school district is ranked the worst in the state and i would be out of school half the time at doctors appointments. She also thinks me having to do all the work by myself and her maybe checking it to see if i got it wrong counts as teaching me, which it is not.

Starting 8th grade in 2 ish weeks, still have my friends but I feel as though our friendship fell apart a lot since the first lockdown and after the recent one in December- March we’re more distant and fall out more now… oh well 😂

I'm telling you all now. As a 26 year old who had a lot of "friends" in high school and who cared about her appearance, it literally doesnt matter. After high school, you'll lose all those "friends". You might have 2 good ones left and no one cares on how you look. Just keep doing you and make the most of it.
