I enjoy not having a lot of friends, I barely even talk to the people I would consider friends anyways. I really really enjoy my ALONE time..it allows me to better connect with myself. I feel like 25 is the age where you start to learn everything! Growing up you think by 25 you will have everything all together and have life figured out, but in REALITY you are really just starting to learn how this world works. People sucking your amazing energy out of you and using you for their own benefits etc, I’ve experienced it all. But 25 was my wake up call to life and I got hit soo hard it was even funny, but watching your videos and even your vlogs just give me soo much motivation to want to keep going! You are very far in life in my opinion, but everyone goals are different! And we all still have a lot of growing to do, but you came a long way and I love the woman you are today. You are 2 years younger than me and I admire everything about you! Love the sit down chit chat videos. Awww this is a good thing to see. I am a few years older than you and I remember having this realization at around 25 too. It is a sign that you are an adult. Girl Aaliyah I can relate. As a fellow cancer we wear out hearts on our sleeves, constantly giving, caring, and providing for others to the point where everything/everyone becomes draining and we end up losing ourselves. People always take our kindness and generosity for weakness and that's crazy because now we have to put up this big wall to guard and protect our hearts from being hurt from all the toxicity. I was bullied in elementary and middle school. As a child it was really traumatizing. Situations like this plays a big part on how we view the world and feel towards people. Having a hard time trusting, opening up, and forgiving people is the reason why we have small circles. 💯

2019 has definitely been the year of protecting my peace and my energy. My issue with ppl isn’t so much of them using me but them being all about themselves and their drama and it’s draining. Listen I’m 28.. a mom of a daughter and a wife... those are whom i give my energy and space to. I don’t have a lot of friends and the few that i do.. i had to really reevaluate what kind of relationships those are. I asked God to remove things and ppl that aren’t for me and he delivered. I’m ok with not having a lot of ppl and it sucks cause i have a lot of love and Loyalty to give but 🤷🏾‍♀️

Aaliyah! At this point we live the same life. I felt this topic deep in my heart because I have all the same struggles. When I was younger my mother was very sick and during that time I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I was very vulnerable and people definitely took advantage of it. To this day I have trust issues and problems with letting people in, which is hard for me to battle because I have such a giving/loving heart. It hurts a bit sometimes to think that I don’t have a “bestie or best friends” around me but I know too that all things happen for a reason, so I just keep it moving knowing there is a light at the end of tunnel

I love that you're still learning about yourself and at the same time standing up for yourself. I'm in my 30s and I'm still learning becoming wiser day by day. I have friends that I hardly see or talk to because I love my alone time but they understand because we have known each other for so long. But at all cost protect your energy. I’ve had friends in the past but come to find out they were all jealous of me, told my business and talked shit about me 😐.& it got to the point that I didn’t feel safe so I moved and changed my number . I've seen this "discernment" a couple of times & just wanted to say. What she's saying isn't about discernment (defintn- ability to judge well) as in doing that you'll still get used. Ability to judge well will involve you relating to these people, checking their behaviours in or around your life even a little bit in order to judge well. Thereby NOT MAKING ASSUMPTIONS OF PPLs CHARACTERS. When you're a natural giver; you give without ppl askn. You give time, energy, advise, companionship, opportunity, help etc THE BEST thing that she said is to STOP GIVING AUTOMATICALLY. Just Be. Like she said simply being goofy, bubbly, friendly & ppl think you're a fool. An example - a natural giver goes somewhere for work, meets a person is all friendly, had a nice chat, connection & time to go home YOU OFFER this person a ride. This person doesn't bother with "thanks hope you got home safe. See's you next time you both say hello and they ignore you all day but come home time they start chatting to you hoping to get that (free) lift again. That's when you tell them no. They go around spreading stories behind your back. BUT in all of this YOU STILL GOT USED. The aim is to do what YOU WANT TO FREELY for people & never see them again. In a work environment, keep "your giving" to yourself. It's different for natural givers. Discernment is NOT IT.

I was bullied throughout the 6th & 7th grade. I had no confidence to stick up for myself & it’s crazy because when you come from a family who is very focal and does defend them self and you don’t have that trait yourself it really gets you down. It’s so true what you’re saying. You can learn at a young age who to trust and how to protect your energy.
