I rarely comment online but here’s my opinion: Jordy’s sweet nature naturally comes across and it’s obvious that he’s genuinely a good person. If it upsets you that others judge him or the relationship then by all means pull back but just know you don’t need to explain that he’s a good man. That comes across very clearly.

Agreed - it seems like a delicate time for Jordy’s family, so it could be good for everyone if you could focus on content other than your (and therefore his) personal life. It seems like the trip was to be a very special and meaningful time for his family. Special moments between the two of you can still be documented for you to share in the future without being shared for public comment. I’m sure it’s tough to come up with content, but sharing your personal life will open everyone you care about to critiques and others may not be able to handle that so well, even if they want to be able to support you.

I love this. It's so true. Maybe it's because I'm in my 40s now and didn't grow up with all of the "influencers" that younger people have now, but I think that people trying to go crazy with expensive gifts just to give extravagant gifts are missing the point. The thought put into a gift is where it's at. Jordy is an old soul with his thoughtfulness. The gifts that Michel has shared with us makes it evident that he really "sees" Michel.

I absolutely LOVE that Jordy does not care what anyone thinks or says. It's nice of you to share that part of your life but, remember that it's your life, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. As someone who has been watching you from the beginning of your channel, there is a clear difference between your relationship with Jordy and your relationship with your ex. Jordy is so outwardly supportive and loving and that's not at all what I saw with your ex. Sadly enough you are always going to find people who are judgmental and sometimes people say things that they might not want to hear to come across the way they do. I understand how sensitive and sad it feels when people judge without knowing those we love. But, that’s ok. Let them express what they think they see or feel. Hi Michel! Congrats on taking the next step towards a passion of yours. I think you came across well in sharing what was on your heart. If what I am about to say doesn’t resonate, feel free to just discard this. I have had a natural tendency, like you, throughout most of my life to care about what others think and to not want to be misunderstood. I have spent so much time deliberating about what to say, to be cautious, and to try and see situations from all angles. What I eventually came to realize for myself (so not saying this must be true for you) was rather than trying to manage how I showed up in the world, was to go within and heal the parts of myself that cared so much or were in fear. I know that at the end of the day, people are going to have whatever perception or experience they are going to have because we are all creating our own reality and I can’t control what happens for others. As for myself, my approach became to first connect in with my own sense of calm and wholeness and then invite in whatever fear or resistance I was experiencing in the moment. Years of therapy or processing couldn’t begin to compete with the effectiveness that this approach has had for me. It’s like being the child and the parent at the same time to myself. When a child is scared, a good parent believes unequivocally in the child’s wholeness, but sits and listens to the child for as long as they need, never rushing the child’s experience, until their emotional experience is resolved. But while a child may at first believe in their scary emotions or experience, the parent never loses sight of the child’s wellbeing (it's kind of like how Jordy is already so confident that he doesn't feel the need to explain himself, it's a deeper, unshakable knowing). Children tend to pattern their sense of self based off of how the parent patterns their sense of self. So, when we connect to our own wholeness and then listen with unconditional love to the parts of ourselves that are temporarily aligned with anything less than the truth of our wellbeing, in time, the non-truth resolves and we move forward in life with more peace. We can't rush it. We just show up with love. Having deeply done this own practice for myself over the past year has led to massive amounts of healing. Stuff I just couldn’t figure out with my mind or talk myself into for years and years has shifted dramatically. Just two days ago, I received a curt and slightly aggressive email from someone that months before would have sent me into a huge tailspin of emotions. I would have immediately wanted to explain my good intentions and would have spent days obsessing over my own hurt feelings and whether I could get this “situation” to turn out the way I meant for it to turn out. But instead, after seeing the email, I felt a tiny twinge of discomfort within myself, showed up for that feeling with compassion, and then deleted the email because true wisdom (which I now had more access to) showed me that there was nothing that needed to be done. Such a difference! There is a whole new world of emotional freedom available to me now and I'm sure still so much more to come. Anyhow, if this perspective makes you feel hopeful or empowered that’s great. But if not, just let it go. There’s more than one path to self-love. Take care and happy 2024!

I only came across your channel after your previous relationship ended and you were finding yourself again and rebuilding your inner strength. 💪😤 So I've never seen you forced to smile through the pain and I can see how that would make some people overprotective of you now. Girl I totally feel you! I got back together with my ex boyfriend a year ago after being apart for a while because he'd shown so much growth and change which was validated by the people closest to me (parents, siblings, and mentors), but I've struggled a lot because it feels like some of my friends are always wary that he's mistreating me or that I only did it cause I was desperate. So I've responded by always sharing the kind things he does and the amazing way he treats me now and all the green flags I see, but it feels like I'm being defensive or always having to prove myself. I can't even imagine how that would feel when it's added with comments on the internet. I just wanted to say you're seen and I feel your pain. Thank you for sharing, as this is something I've been struggling with too. I love Jordy and if you and those closest to you say that he treats you well that is all that matters!
