Followed you for so long. So happy to see you happy! Etude House is known for the pretty princess style. In Korea, when you go into an Etude House store the people working their address you as a princess. "Hello, princess!" "Thank you for coming, princess! Have a great day!" Their makeup products are not that bad. Korean eyeshadows tend to focus more on blendability, layering and shimmers rather than pigment. For a long time, Korean makeup trends were mostly about quick natural looks. Now reds and pinks are very trendy. This year though I see more people experimenting with color. Those blush placements are popular in Korea as well. I think it is to look younger. I'm not a huge fan of it, but it seems to be the trend here. Lashes are a huge deal in Korea and Japan! In Korea, Japanese false lashes are very popular. The trend is to use the doll eye shape to help open the eyes and to make them look more round vs eyes looking more almond shape. I know I edited this so much as I watched the video. Love your look! Inspiring as always~ ♡♡♡♡♡

Congrats again on your engagement! I think it will be really fun to see what your wedding makeup will be and when the time comes. Congrats again! So I lived in Japan for two years and I learnt the ins and outs of Japanese/Korean beauty there. I also come from a european(white Australian) focus with a preference for pigmented eye shadows and lipsticks. I'm proud that you picked up things that perfectly suited your style and your collection. I found a few things that suited me too, so here are my tips for anyone else out there looking for similar things in Asian beauty: 1. Best liquid eyeliner are the k palette 24 hr tattoo liners. Does not budge, lasts a long time, excellent pigmentation, I especially like the deep brown and "natural black" - charcoal as I find ultra black too harsh with my big/round/protruding eyes 2. Powder blushes from Canmake- great peach and pink blushes comparable to high end but for very cheap. 3. Lasting multiple base (eye shadow primer) from Canmake. Excellent, cheap 4 Some great eyebrow pencils in a great range of colours if you have trouble finding the right shade for you. I like Excel pencil powder duo the best 5. Obviously Hakuhodo brushes 6. If you fit the narrow colour scheme, the Kiss bb/cc creams are excellent and much higher coverage/longer lasting than I expected. They also have matte/Dewey versions 6. If you go to Donquixote, get the setting spray in the purple bottle. It needs a lot of shaking up but it was a real saviour in the heat and humidity 6. DHC cleansing oil and lip balms are the best 7. Not exactly makeup, but the best shampoo is Botanist if you have sensitive hair/want to avoid sls/sles if you have curly/textured hair like I do Japan is cheap by Australian standards too lol. If only the coffee was drinkable...

I love placing my blush higher on the cheekbones the Japanese/Korean way simply because I think it's very flattering on my face shape and the kind of ombré/faded lips you described, I do that a lot! It's great to live in a world where we can draw inspiration from all around the globe and mix and match the different influences to what suits us best.

The cream blushes from Can Make are really nice, especially the red one. I also love the mascaras from Fairydrops & Heroine Make. As for Etude House, try their Oh M'Eye Line liquid eyeliner if you get the chance to purchase Etude House products again. Their retractable lip liners are really good too. 😍😍😍 Congratulations again on your engagement! 💍😘

Oh and the central stone in your beautiful ring would be called 'emerald cut' in English. Which just refers to the shape, that rectangle cut. Such a pretty style, it makes me think of art deco, which is my favourite jewelry era along with art nouveau :)

I`m still waiting for my Fall fusion palette, it should arrive sometime next week. Congratulations!! That is SUCH a cute proposal. Your ring is GORGEOUS. I love emerald cut. Ooo try the angled brush for blush or bronzer. It should give a very soft, blended, natural look. Japanese skincare is where it's at, tbh, for those of us that like to experiment with makeup. Their makeup trends would be about natural, rosy, with great skin and doll like lashes

We went with my daughter’s choir in 2015. We took the very same trip except we flew into Tokyo and rode the Bullet Train to Kyoto. We saw loads of temples. The rose Garden in Tokyo was amazing! I’m glad you had fun! Congrats on your engagement.

I'm glad you mentioned the Japanese makeup trends. I was wondering what their style was like. Years ago on my honeymoon we went to Hawaii and there were lots of Japanese tourist. They were so sharp and well dressed, looked like they spend a lot on fashion. I can't go on any faraway trip without buying either makeup or a perfume souvenir,lol.I like the makeup you picked up.
