I think sitting down to do makeup each day is like taking a breath and focusing but also escaping for a few moments. I think also I love the materiality and colour, it’s a creative process like drawing or painting. And then there’s the tactile experience of touching the face, grounding and calming xx

Recently I used my dior eyeshadow palette and thought, I forgot how beautiful they are. Soooo creamy, and soooo nice to wear. They look stunning all day. I just felt so pretty. Plus, I became obsessed with makeup and skincare during covid. I had been through a child attempting suicide and I was so desperate to just go someplace that I didn’t feel so much pain. As odd or corney or ridiculous as it’ll sound to some, it saved me. It gave me this space to focus on something that made me feel good, and human again. Do I own a ridiculous amount of makeup? Without question. But I see it for me as my medicine. 💊

Also, I’m glad you found a doctor you felt comfortable with. I have a stomach situation too… I lay down without any pain, the second I stand up I get this deep pain in the mouth of the stomach. I haven’t gone to any doctor, but I have to. So I totally get the uncertainty you get to feel. All the love to you!

YES! That bronzey metallic in the Nude Dress palette is next level. I hear they've since changed the formula to clean and it's taken the quality of these quints down. Lucky looks you got the original formula
