That's not too TMI. I get the same thing right before and/or during my period. I'll suddenly break out and then my period arrives and I'm like, OH. THAT'S WHY lol. I love these brushes! I was expecting them to be dense like their other brush line, which is great for cream products, but I love that they turned out to be the perfect fluffy brushes. I hope they decide to sell them individually in the future because there's a couple brushes that I'd love to buy more of.

I really like GRWMs! Especially now with so much time on our hands I find these kind of videos really relaxing like someone's chatting with me so it makes me feel a lot less lonely (I'm a super social person so the quarantine is pretty taxing on me and I've actually been doing it since the end of January because I'm from Hong Kong)

Ugh, I feel you on the period breakouts. Wasn't a huge problem in my teens, but late 20s and 30s? Oof. Think volcanic range splattered over my lower face. Please let me know if you find a solution! (Edit: And thank you for the comparisons with the current CP brushes. The reference is super helpful!)

i started getting acne in my mid-20s as well! I never had acne as a teen and then bam I started getting acne all over my face and it got especially bad right before getting my period. I recently went to the dermatologist for the first time and they prescribed my retin-A (for night time) and clindamycin (for daytime) and it has really cleared up my skin. Wanted to suggest this because what I had looked similar to yours - hopefully it helps! Also, I really enjoyed this video. Your voice is so soothing!

Thanks for your review! I got this set on one of their sales and I love it! I was curious about how to use some of the brushes and it’s funny you did almost exactly my go-to look with the same brushes I use 😆 I must be doing something right!! I wish they sold the deluxe blending brush separately as it’s my favorite too and I’d like to have one more.

do you think a reason for your skin not doing so well is the pretty fresh primer??? the pretty fresh primer has coconut oil in it listed in the ingredients list on colourpop, I saw it has been breaking out a ton of other youtubers too :/

hmmm i personally dont think it is, since i have been using it consistently for the past couple of months and im only breaking out now and around my time of the month! its been a couple of days since i filmed this & my skin has cleared up. but just to be safe maybe ill lay off it for a bit and see! thank you for letting me know tho!! i had no idea it was breaking out other people out

I had the same eyelid problem years ago. I would actually wear double eyelid tape on my 'monolid' eye when ever I'm home and after about a year I was able to correct the drooping lid to be the same as my other eyelid. Love this makeup look btw xx

So when I was in my 3rd year of high school, I had a very obvious mono lid on my left eye if I didn’t sleep enough (never really slept enough in school anyways) and I saw a video from Michelle Phan saying how she corrected her eyelids with eyelid tape. She said you would have to wear it every day for like 3 months straight if I remember correctly but I didn’t want to go around school wearing it for people to see. I just put eyelid tape on whenever I come home from school to when I sleep and wake up in the morning, take it off for school and repeat. On the weekends or when I have dance practice I would try to wear it all day. I got so used to wearing it I think I just got into the habit of wearing it for about a whole year and I didn’t even realize I didn’t need to rely on it by the time the year was almost done. I stopped wearing it b6 the time I was a senior and I just noticed that my eyelid didn’t fold over anymore. That was 5 years ago and within the last year or so is when I barely noticed my eyelid drooping. I know everyone is different but with consistency and patience I know it works! I started wearing eyelid tape again recently but only sometimes when I can see it need it. So just try to wear it as much as you can for your off days or while you get ready. :) also I really enjoy your content Judy!

your breakouts are definitely related to your period! hormones change during your cycle, and right before and during your period is very common for breakouts because of those hormones. some birth control pills can help because they regulate your hormones. i love your review and demo of the brushes, it's so helpful!

Your RJ headband! 😭 Also, when you get your period, if you aren't eating the best, your body will have a chemical imbalance which causes inflammation inside your body that causes acne on your face, and also makes you have mood swings and cravings. There's a whole video about it on the channel Beauty Within. I think if you search up the channel with do periods cause acne, it'll come up. It was very interesting to hear the science behind it all. And yet I still eat unhealthy during my period and don't drink any water, so I guess I don't take my own advice, haha. Which fairs badly and always makes me break out. I know you drink plenty of water and probably eat 100 times better than me. Just thought I'd let you know about that video.
