Video recommendation idea: okay so I’ve just lost a ton of weight and have pretty much sold everything in my closet on Poshmark because nothing fits me anymore. I want to rebuild my closet from scratch but I don’t know where to start. It would be so cool if you made a video on the staple items you’d buy first in your closet, your favourite brands, what’s worth the money, etc. Love your style!

My favourite luxe makeup product is the Chanel water tint (the almost no-coverage base with the wee pigment balls in it), I hate foundation and that's the ultimate base product for me, it looks gorgeous. Also, you made me buy it! 😊

I love the Nu tint! Ysl has some of my favorite foundations, they always sit so smoothly on my skin. Also, it’s best to let your primers sit for about 15 minutes, so that it can sink into the skin instead of going right in with your foundation.

I got into the habit of doing my eyes after my primers and feel my base looks better because I let the primers absorb.

I agree with both of you. My base always looks the best when I do my skin care in the morning an hour before priming and then making sure to let the primer settle for about 20 minutes while doing my hair. Then base. Perfection everytime. 🤌🏻💋

I don’t usually layer primers. I’d use multiple primers but I don’t layer them - and I use very little product. I think you were heavy handed and maybe had layered too many layers. Edited to add - from far away it looks good!

I use both the YSL primer and skin tint. I apply the tint with a brush..I’ve never had that balling up happen. I don’t have the corrector or spray, so, I don’t know if those were the culprits🤷‍♀️

That Laura Mercier powder is actually not a highlighter and is a setting powder but just the luminous form. I think its supposed to be like the pressed powder form she has called the candle glow powders...and this is just the loose form. I think if you use the LIGHTEST hand and a giant brush it gives the look of set skin, but not flat.

The shimmery setting powders also look really nice when used on the eyes. I’ll use my bronzer as eyeshadow and add just a bit of shimmery setting powder and it’s a nice combo.

This is a gorgeous look, just exactly what I like. Products layered together do tend to pill after about the third layer. It seems a bit strange though that products all designed to work together from the same brand should do this. Hmmm, think I’ll give this new YSL stuff a wide berth, even though your skin looks glowy and amazing on camera. xxx

The eye glazes...YES PLEASE! i'm pretty sure i can see a correction in tone with the use of those correctors. is it just me and this computer i'm watching you on, idk but i think the redness was camouflaged and the undereyes as well maybe...? was the color corrector on your upper lip...? you're such a good sport about adjusting and moving on. Super stunning juicy look. I love the Viseart palettes. It's a splurge but well worth it. Didn't see any difference with the colour correctors. The balling up of the YSL maybe due to using too much primer, skincare or the colour correctors. Like you said, play about with it to test it out further💖

The “green” corrector actually covered a bit, at least on the lower parts of your face under the cheekbones. I wonder if they expect you to use it alone. 😅 Edit: The way you said “Glow’r” at 10:47...👌

Someone else has probably already mentioned this, but the girl at Sephora told me to warm the YSL tint up in my hands first for a better application!! I've only ever used it with moisturizer (belif aquabomb) and I've never had a pilling issue. Hope you find success with it, Lan!!

No matter what primer I use it ALWAYS pills so I don’t use it anymore lol I never use a primer. I use supergoop glowscreen as my primer in the summer and the unseen sunscreen in the winter lol

I think it was your skin care. You get that reaction when you apply layers too quickly or the serums just don’t jive. But… could be horribly wrong. 🤐🤔🧐
