Remember to dress for yourself! Not for him. If he loves you, surely he loves you for who you are, not for trying to be something you think he'll like. A lot of problematic statements and generalizations about men in this video that made me feel uncomfortable. I prefer to empower women - not conduct my life (even for Valentines day) for my fella. Otherwise lovely video and thanks for the tips, you're super clever :)

Agree, I like her videos because they are such high quality but there is so many generalizations. Like, dress for a man, or men love this type of look and she even said in another video "I'm a girl so I like fashion and beauty." There needs to be more statements about being yourself and not making yourself to be a certain type of person to make a guy like you. Also because guys don't all like the same thing meaning that her points are redundant at best and sexist at worse. I know this sounds like I am knocking her down but there needs to be more empowerment to women in the beauty blogging community and sometimes that comes with calling people out on things like this.

Noted! Honestly, thank you both for the feedback. Always good to get perspective on how things come off to others in video format. It might be easy to read into something I am saying because we aren't having a direct conversation in the video. I believe wholeheartedly in everything you both say, women empowerment, dressing for yourself, being true to yourself and never trying to be something you aren't. I was purely speaking to my personal relationship with my husband, sharing my personal story. Can't tell you how much it means to me that you took the time to share those very important messages that I absolutely work to incorporate more into my work that I share here.
