For me both are great but I lean to PassLabs more now. We are going to wait for your final pick. 🤩

I think you are being kind, as a former Pass and Gryphon owner the Essence just had it going on - truth+beauty

Awesome system. And you are right, a one of a kind channel.

Just discovered your channel. Thanks, Jay. I cannot tell you how much your videos are appreciated. Especially your narrative - there are no flowery superlatives or long shots of the gear, just what you observe. Now I have to watch every video you have and like each one and watch them in their entirety. Outstanding! Keep up the amazing and unique work you do.

Hello Jay, I feel deeply ingratiated to you for all your hard work, effort, time, and personal resources you put into bringing your vlog to all of us audio nerds who only DREAM of having equipment like yours. But because you make the sacrifice to work your butt off for us, we get to enjoy the fruits of your hard work in all its forms. Before, I used to occasionally go to shops to see and listen to gear I had no earthly way to afford, because I like to hear just what is possible with super duper gear. I’m sure shop employees know when tire kickers and looking-loos come in and take up their time, and make no sale on me. Now, it’s like Christmas for me every time you get a new Pass amp, line stage, Gryphon amp, and that mega performing digital equipment. I know of NO ONE who goes to the great length you do to simply get the best gear there is out there and compare it to one another and do it personally and on video!!!!! It’s like telling “fishing stories” around your friends, and when you hear something that was so great, one says, “pictures or it didn’t happen!” Well, you take this “picture or it didn’t happen” to a whole new level. You provide live recorded video. Man Jay, where do we as viewers start to say thanks! On 2D paper so to speak, it rings a bit hollow because you can’t hear us, but let me tell you, I’m fairly certain all of us have the deep thanks for your mega hard work. Thank you very much, and I will continue to watch as you try and find the ultimate two channel set-up. Three cheers for you sir!

I didnt find it close. The liquid, grainless transparency of the Essence. Its a hallmark achievement in solid state amplification and the reward for the highest levels of engineering and design efforts. Its unmistakable.

Thnx Appreciate if you throw your opinions on Pass 60.8 class A 60 W/Gryphon Essence Monos/Pass 600.8. You are Raving about Pass 60.8 when you first played with M6.We very much like to have your thoughts on these.

Jay, Love your channel! THANK YOU for all of the hard work moving all of that equipment in and out AND giving us very detailed, and honest, tell-it-like-you-hear-it reviews! Two quick questions . . . 1. Would the Essence mono's work with the Martin Logan 13A's or 15A's? (Impedance can drop to .7 or even .5) I currently have the ML Summits powered by the Sanders ESL amp (not the Magtech) and although they control the Sanders without effort, especially in the base, it just doesn't have a lot of soul, so to speak. Somewhat sterile, but maybe it is just "real". My preamp, a Cary SLP-05 I believe is a mismatch for the Summits from an impedance standpoint, so I will also me looking for a new preamp as well. 2. I know you have owned a number of ML's in the past, and recently tested the 13A. it seemed like you liked the Maggie 20.7s better and really didn't keep the 13A's around very long. I think the 15A, with the wider, perpendicular (versus tilted panel) and 46" VS 44" vertical dispersion, and low end 22 VS 24 on the 13A's makes for a compelling case. ML just seems "clearer" to me in the midrange than the Maggie's. Your thoughts on sticking with ML? THANK YOU! JM

It is great to truly have a "hifi" channel like yours since most are midfi lower end or you just see a guy playing a 30 second video they recorded on an iphone to show how a system sounds.

Hey Jay, first time commenter. I'm thinking of pairing the XS 300's with Focal Stella's. I'm dead set on using Focal, but I've auditioned and like pass, gryphon, and dag, your thoughts?

Awesome Job J , happy for you that you can afford all this expensive hardware Wanted to ask you to continue to bring equipment that is more or less affordable , for example would be nice to compare DAC that's in 5-10K range , not sure how many of your subscribers can afford DACs with 60-70 k MSRP... Holo Audio May DAC would be interesting choice or Chord DAVE or anything you like but in lower price range...? I know there are other channels that review those dacs but they don't have Uber expensive stuff like yours to compare it with and get honest opinion, that's where u come in 😛

More bright with more volume??? In my opinion its not about power- its about your room and those bare walls. Treat the first reflection points with partialy damping and partialy difusing staff.

I like the bit at 5:32, where the shirt logo jumps across to the correct side, along with everything else. It's a good job the persistent shirt problems are there to provide some interest, Guys! How is this a lab, btw?

Jay thanks for your info as always! Just a thought, as far as speakers go have you ever looked at the reference series of Canton? I'm using the reference 2.2dc which are not their top model but and I am very happy with them.

Sticking to the Gryphons is a choice I would have made too if I were in the occasion to choose between them. The PassLabs are more lit up. The Gryphons are more grounded.
