*GS Type 1’s!* Macaulay Road Level Crossing, Kensington, Victoria!

Hey guys!
This is the Macaulay Road level crossing in Kensington, Victoria, on the Craigieburn line. This crossing sees many many activations every day with all Seymour and Shepparton
line V/line trains passing through, as well as metro trains to Craigieburn and the Flemington Racecourse occasionally. This crossing is well known for its General Signals Type 1 E-Bells, which surprisingly (but thankfully) still remain. This crossing is also known for having the only Alstom LED's in Victoria.
I had a very lucky catch with a malfunction in this video. I believe this happened because the train was on the opposite track and so the crossing was only activated at the last second. However i dont know this for sure so dont count on that being the case.

It’s not a crossing malfunction. It’s a train going Bang Road. Driver and Crossing did what they’re trained and designed to do. Driver approaching on extreme caution sounding horn and crossing activates just before the train enters.

@@louithefly bc the signals aren't programmed to activate for trains in that direction on that track; in that clip: furthest track= southbound, closest track= northbound
