I just got the burner today, and I am very happy with it. I put mine in a collapsible small wood gassification stove. And it worked nicely. Oh, you do not need the snuffer cap to put it out. Its easy to blow out. I didn't even have to prime mine. filled it with fuel, let is sit for a bit, then lit it up. Boiled two cups of water, in a pot with a lid, in about 20 minutes. I use the same fuel. It does get loud as it gets going.

That's a great price for a stove, that looks really well put together. I don't know what it is about alcohol stoves, that makes me want every one I see lol. Thanks for the review, stay safe out there and God bless!

each piece looks like it was intended for other use but not completely machined, like blanks. the reservoir could also be a bearing dust cover. the top looks like a radiator or resrevior cap of some kind. the snuffer looks like it could be a battery post cleaner minus the wire brush inside. great repurposes whatever they are

Thoes are really good short term burners for a lab or quick testing and experiments. I have 2 in my lab. Great video.

What is the advantage of having coils instead of a Trangia type burner?
@Iridium2424 жыл бұрын
Its more of a different type of stove, these with the coils can be very efficient and burn super hot. I made one years ago on video (copper coil alcohol stove) and that one was like a jet engine.

Can you switch it with a glass jar for fuel visibility?
@No0basaurusRAWR3 жыл бұрын
My guess would be that is made from a oil filter.

Looks like an oil filter with a retrofitted and modified radiator cap.
@Iridium2424 жыл бұрын
Thats it, yeah the top felt like a radiator cap. Could not figure it out
@AlaskanGamerGuy4 жыл бұрын
@@Iridium242 they can hold a decent amount of pressure. I wonder if they were able to use any mechanisms pre-existing on the radiator cap...
