I've had my GSG 100 for a year and it has not missed a beat i wear everyday for work it gets knocked and bumped and not a scratch or mark on it. The solar indicator has not moved from the full charge mark and the time has gained about 5 seconds for the year. You cant go wrong with this watch. I also prefer the 24hr ring to having one with all the world cities around it.

I just bought it, and it's awesome Yes, it's for casual and what you wear everyday. I heavily consider GG 1000 before I make the purchase. But why I choose this instead? Well, for once it's a G-Shock so it would be super tough. Second is, it got solar panel so it could last forever and no need to change the battery once every few years. Third, I don't really need the sensor feature in GG. Fourth for a mudmaster price wise it does make sense

Great video and one of only a few of the GSG100. I chose this over the GWG because of the price difference just to have the atomic feature. I also chose it over the GG line because although it may not be an ABC watch, it is still a Mudmaster and it's solar which the GG is not and the face of the GG looks too crowded to afford all of the ABC features. The GSG100 looks awesome.

How is the negative display visibility under broad day light/sunlight and low light? If its not good i plan to take the postive one. Does this watch inner glass and other gshocks's (never own one) become foggy in hot weather, when going from cold room to warmer (like eye glass), and when going out of pool? I read some complaints that they do...please let me know...

Is it possible to by a metal strap to replace a standard rubber strap for a g-shock? I have the rescue, I love it, just hate the rubber strap but don't want one of them Nato things either. I like metal bracelets, a black one would be awesome.

Casio didn’t made any metal bracelet for this piece officially. You have to look a third party parts plus a special adapter to connect the bracelet as well. Won’t be easy.

I'm joining marines next month and I would like a watch that could resist like everything. I know best option for this it's the GWG-1000 series, but it's too much expensive for me. I'm considering the GG-B100, but the fact it doesn't have solar panel brings me to GG-100. Any advice?

I would still recommend the GWG-1000 due to its durability and the triple sensors. If possible get one in the secondary market to save on the cost. If you're lucky, you could get ones in great condition at a bargain. Comparable to appearance and price point only. Different in functions of course, you'll have to decide which set of functions you'll be using most. This is why G-Shock watch fans end up getting more than one watch. Hard to choose, so we just get both if not all of them.

any idea if nato straps can be put on this? I see it is different that the GB-100 as it has light button different, and GB-100 adapters make shape for light. Is this lug setup like the GB-100 though with that 4 lug design like you revealed in your video before with the rubber strap. Or is it like the previous mudmaster strap setup?

Thats when you gonna need to use the wave-ceptor feature. The world time is calculated based on your home-time. Set your DST, City Name, and time accurately and the rest will fix follows. :)

Press adjust for 5 seconds until 'H-Set' appear. Then use both upper & lower right to move both hour & minute hand to 12 index. Press adjust. Good to go.

I am going to be buying this watch very soon only its going to be the all black with the negative digital screen and numbers. I would love to own the GWG 1000 1A but it's quite a bit more expensive than the GSG 100-1A $475 vs. $175 unless I can find a way to get the GWG 1000 1A I'll surely be getting this model in all black. I have been having a hard time deciding between the GSG and the GG because I like the second hand on the GG and the digital display a bit better but the deciding factor is that the GSG is tough solar and the GG isn't. The GWG 100 has both solar and multi-band 6 timekeeping but no sensors and is more expensive than the GSG 100 by $150 and at that price difference I might as well splurge for the GWG 1000 1A for an additional $150 on top of the $150 extra for the GWG 100. So it is either the GSG 100-1A or the GWG 1000 1A if I can afford it. I keep watching your videos to see the watch.

GS-100 is more practical for most consumers. GG-1000 if you need the sensors. GWG-1000 have all of the above.

Lol. This can be a survival watch. It doesn´t need to have sensors to be a survival watch. A real survivalist doesn´t need sensors on a watch. They need a watch that can endure anything thrown at it. Water, mud, dust, shock resistant. Self charging and adjusting. This is the one.

They are from the same series but not the same version. GWG = ‘W’ = solar model WITH wave-ceptor model GSG = ‘S’ = solar model, WITHOUT the wave-ceptor function.

GSG model has less features when compared to GG. It has no sensors at all. But it has something else that GG model don’t have. I’m certain this was made for regular people who likes the rugged look and a reliable G-Shock. Sacrifice the sensors to get the tough solar and bright LED. This watch has better usability at any time of day compared to GG. They’re almost equal level in their own way. However, the watch design alone, GG still looks better.

JF model came with built in wave-ceptor antenna while non JF model aren’t. The papers that you get along the watch also different.
