The quality in the module is very good, you can wear this with a suit. It doesn't have lots of functions, but the quality is very high. I think Casio make the MTG as a 'value version' of the MRG. A lot of people won't buy a MRG because of expense obviously and it's a big leap - so MTG bridges the gap, as it's easier on the wallet.

This watch is the most ridiculously complicated one I have to set up. I hardly ever wear it because I cannot get the date to set correctly. The sync doesn't do it. And as soon as it's February it just fucks up again because it has no idea about months

This watch should have a double lock fitting on its bracelet because its heavy. It can be easily unlocked and detached on your wrist.

I happened to be up a little late last night, and I noticed that just before 12AM the date dial had already started moving a little bit. It was basically stuck between 21 and 22 for over half an hour (I didn't stay up long enough to see it go all the way to 22). I also noticed that if I shook the watch, the positioning of the date dial would change a little bit. Depending on the direction in which I shook the watch, the date dial would move up or down with about half a millimeter to a millimeter max. This morning, the date dial was properly at 22 and shaking it didn't make it budge anymore. Do you know what goes on around 12 O clock with the MTG-S1000? It seems as if around 12 O clock the dial is loosened a little bit allowing it to very slowly move to the next date, but also meaning that shaking the watch makes the date dial move up or down a tiny bit. My GW-A1100 changes the date within a second at exactly 12AM and it doesn't move when I shake the watch.

Awesome! A very thorough explanation of the functions. Close up image is excellent good to see what it looks like up close. I've only ever seen this through glass in a display. Watch still looks great even with a little wear from actual use. It's a great value piece when you consider the amount of finishing on the steel bracelet and case compared to a Frogman 🐸. It even costs less than a Frogman. Could you possibly ask Casio if they offer a full case polish when you bring it in for service and how much that would cost.

Pal, thank you very much, great video. I was able to adjust these little dials at last! I've got this watch since 2 years, it was running perfect, last weeks hands on small right dial and mode dial suddenly became misplaced. What can cause this? Can it be due to shooting firearms? The watch is shock resist though... The watch itself is done with impressive quality. I use it everyday, not a single scratch on the glass, the bracelet is done from best stainless steel, shows very little wear. Only the H letter from upper black G-SHOCK fell off, but that's not a problem I think.

Hey man, I’m sure you’re on WUS and I posted this there but I’m messaging you here in the hope that you get to see it easier. I’m having issues with my S1000D. All hands were at 12 position and this was happening very frequently so I ordered a battery from an Amazon store. I replaced the battery and performed the ac reset using tweezers to connect the ac contact to the metal case. nothing happens after I put the watch back together until I hit it with some light, then it comes to life but stuck in TYO time zone. pulling the smart crown to the first position it beeps but the second hand does not register the world time country code as it should. Instead, it keeps ticking. Second pull of the smart crown beeps again, the second hand stops at TYO, but turning the crown either way doesn’t move the second hand. When performing a hand reset, the hour, minute and second hand all align at 12. Pressing the c button again should adjust the top left sub dial hands to 12 but it doesn’t and the date does not adjust to between 1 and 31. Also the smart crown does not adjust any hands while being turned which might be the issue, could be a gear or spring.

Date setting start at 16:00. But you'll need to follow along from the beginning of the video actually to catch up with all the steps. This watch in incredibly tedious to set-up. You'll need to spare up some time just to do this.

I'm not a big fan of SUUNTO at all. Regardless, Casio usually improve the sensors in their watches time to time. Look back in history for that. Just keep the support coming bro.

Minute 4:45 = Hand adjustments Minute 15:35 = Time set-up. This watch takes a lot of time to set. Goodluck!

Proceed with the same step. Just adjust the date. The day will follows automatically since this watch has automatic calendar built in.
