Just bought this today as my first ana-digi gshock since I mostly wear digital gshock and I really do like it. At first I was considering the GA 2100 but because of the the bezel warping issue on the resin case and I got no time for modding it to the steel strap and bezel (another unnecessary expenses) or the budget for an all steel model so I gravitated towards this model and I'm glad that I bought this one.

I got the GD-010 in black, i wear it at work. I have a 19 cm wrist so it fits well , but there still is a gap. I like that there is gap, it ventilates the skin. Yes, it is a cool design.

@@e28forever30 It's a watch to wear and little else. If you want functionality, it's the worst option. I have the 40th anniversary and the screen is practically useless.

I might give this GA-010 another shot. It does look like a great G-Shock, better than the GA-700. The downside is that there is no backlight behind the LCD display like the GA-2100 and GA-B2100. Still, the backlight of the GA-010 is actually really good. On the upside, there's no negative display variant. I'll go for the blue color version, someday.

Casio has a lot of solar G shocks and have not ditched solar ,a totally untrue statement as well As the fact that the watch he is reviewing has a 10 year battery ,almost as good as solar and it’s cheaper as well

You must have misread my comment. Also you can bet there are many, who can use up that 10 year battery in a year. Same won’t happen with solar. Plus non-solar batteries seem to run out in the worst situations. Same won’t happen with solar. Enough said.

I wish you’d get a normal colour lighting as the purplish tinge doesn’t show the true colours of the watches which is obviously a major part of any watch, just get white lighting 🙄

Unless you really wanted the ana digi style, you can get a solar, multiband G Shock for similar cost from Amazon, eBay, Costco, without looking too hard. About $140 - $150CAD as a reference point.

@@gshockhighfashion Well, I should have added tha the 10-yr battery life basically means you can go about 12 years between battery changes, since Casio typically underrate the battery life, unless you go crazy with the buttons and the light!
