While it is universal, positioning is part of the micro difficulty we're discussing, and should be included. On top of that, Blink micro is about one of the MOST essential micro in PvT to control vikings, sniping ghosts, control drops, snipe stray medivacs, amongst other things.

Positioning is universal, as is focus-firing. Marauder/Roach/Viking/Corrupters still have to focus-fire Colossi, and infantry have to blanket tanks. it's same on all sides. Colossi/Medivacs/Tanks/BLs all need to be babied. I don't mention them because it's not P-exclusive, I'm talking about non-automated hotkey abilities. You're right about Sentries, I'd forgotten about them, but would you say that + Blink needs the same micro as T? I wouldn't, and it seems consensus amongst ALL players+blizz

I'm not sure what your discussion is other than that Day9 quote has been completely misinterpreted. He said T have the strongest mid-game army because they greatly benefit from all their timings lining up of 2-2 upgrades, decent Medivac count, all infantry researches and possible Ghosts before Z gets T3 and before P gets a sizable deathball. It's not quite the same thing as being a low-micro race as they're still expected to continue drops.

Maybe I should clarify the above: by "essential", I also mean hard to execute while multi-tasking with other essential spells like Storm/Feedback and Forcefields/GS. Sniping vikings and ghosts is primarily in head-on fights, while medivac sniping is mostly when defending against drops. Protoss micro is AS hard as Terran micro. Your "consensus" is not based on "all" players... It is your opinion, and a misinformed one at that. If you want consensus, go to Team Liquid and post that statement...

If MVP scanned ahead, he would have seen what he was up against and instantly split up his BCs, one group to attack Squirtle's main force and another to focus down that Mothership, if he had done that and taken out the Mothership before any actual engagement occured, I do not see any way he could have lost if he also EMPed those HTs

Not sure which TL you're on but the one I've been reading on/off since BW has been littered with P A-move/Deathball threads since SC2 beta, not all of which is valid and a lot is biased. But where there's smoke, there's fire. Disclaimer: I'm not saying P is an easier race as T/Z get other APM-reduction benefits, but in head-on battles? I don't think even you would say T has an easier time than his P counterpart.

seriously how the fuck can anyone not like this xD the casting is good, tasteless got his passion back (just joking here), the fucking observer is good with the camera movements, the way squirtle did the toilet seemed so... thematic, and was well complimented by the observer. Suddenly the mothership comes out, we see the toilet, then we see the late ghost EMP. Then we see archons morphing (too bad they didn't get in time but still got a couple hits off), storms, then the EPIC feedback animation

It's not just a Pro attitude. I'm low Diamond R more often than not and it's true that P is less micro-intensive than T/Z. They don't need to bother with stim, worry about Medivac energy, zealot charge is automated, colossi don't need to 'set up' and P harrass units aren't as singularly fragile as say a hellion. It gets more intensive with HT Storm/Feedback but T also has to worry about Ghost EMP/sniping too. The game isn't imba, but please... P is easily much more A-move friendly.

Yeah, asking a Terran to micro his BCs and scout is "theorycraft-y"; I realize that's a foreign concept to you, but micro is actually how other races play Starcraft 2. Learn it. Spreading out BCs is good both on paper and practice. You just have to not suck at SC2 to execute that. BCs are far from slow after the last patch that buffed their movement speed. A MOTHERSHIP of all things FLANKED a whole BC army. If anyone HAD to complain, it shouldve been Protoss. MS is 1.406 speed. BC is 1.875...

I would give anything to go back in time and relive this era of SC2. The game was SO alive! Just listen... Now its 2020 WCS has been canceled.. its 17 days into January and nothing has been mentioned of Code S. Kespa is gone. ALL the major sc2 teams have dropped their sc2 rosters. The game isn't dead but it will never be what it once was... we need sc3. We need developers to work hand in hand with pros to make a well developed and balanced game with the sole purpose of being an Esport. Funny talking about balance on an archon toilet video.. Once upon a time this was the biggest Esport. This is where Esports was born (including broodwar). In 2020 people just dont like RTS games like they use to. Too hard to be good and there is nobody but yourself to blame for losing. It takes years to get good at starcraft.. all these bros played broodwar and came from that so they already had an understanding of how to play the game well. The "new" people that came to sc2 and its expansions couldnt get good enough fast enough. The koreans were untouchable. M

Mvp had about 15 minutes where he could have ended the game, and didn't. He had a great timing window right after Squirtle stranded half his army. Instead, he let Squirtle put together a counter-composition, and then didn't notice the second mothership at all.

A lot of exciting plays in Korean starcraft is staged for audience amusement. Its not a script or anything, its an understood thing between the players and they do exciting things like not ending the game and letting themselves get archon toileted. Goes back to the Boxer days.

P has ONE timing window to exploit in early game. The 8 min Parting style GW pressure before medivacs. That's it. Before 8 mins, it is suicide for P to fight T offensively, after the 10-11 minute mark, there is no use being offensive because medivacs heavily negate gate pressure, and necessitate HT/colossus tech = P has to be passive for the next 5-6 minutes and defend drops and army pokes at Protoss' entrance. Therefore, from min 5-8, T > P, from min 11-16, T > P, from min 19-23+ T > P.

Nah! MVP screwed up his micro ROYALLY. He should have EMPed the MS and HTs, spread his BCs and yamatoed the Void Rays and Archons. Squirtle actually had nothing to if that happened. So, MVP screwed up and paid for it. Nothing OP about Protoss.

7 years late on this but this wasn't unfair at all. MVP could have EMP'd the MS, or split his BC's (BC's are like, 25% faster than the MS, how the hell did that catch him offguard?) or even just a-moved his massive BC ball into Squirtle's main while the MS was still building and Squirtle had nothing. If you let your guard down while you're ahead and the opponent capitalizes on this, you don't really have anyone to blame but yourself.

This post by you is misinformed, grossly...Zealots need constant re-positioning to stay in front and not get stuck behind ranged units; Colossi need extra attention during battles because they're our money sinks, and losing them is a huge deal, therefore re-positioning against vikings is more crucial than you believe; you conventiently ignored Blink micro, sentry micro and dsimissively accept that HT micro is intensive, while you ignore Immortal focus-firing being as necessary as Stim management
