Honestly to currently beat ANY of the top tier characters in the game, you have to call out their more spammy strings and shield pressure and just get comfortable with parrying it. Kragg is by far the character you'll have the most rewards out of parrying his attacks properly, especially their rock cubes, down B and Side B. The most broken tech and shield pressure, like Zetter's shine and Maypul's stage control with Lilly, are completely nullified if you punish with parry and capitalize on punishing as best as you can.

@@ditch_magnet Oh my god, I did not know that the universal tech is used by EVERYONE? Really? :O Yeah lol I know, but most people’s playstyles aren’t remotely using this in their gameplay. They’re still very comfortable spamming moves. There is literally no skill whatsoever required to parry the Zetter shine that is coming right after ANY unsafe aerial they do on your shield. I get free ranking every time I do it. Maybe get better at the game rather than start whining and giving up?

Also, inb4 this dumbass just responds with “yeah, and people will adapt to THAT”… that is how competitive play works. Saying “they can parry too” is also a noob’s response to opening up a layer on your gameplay. These are all temporary and/or matchup-dependent recommendations, not the secret tech that will win you all games. All I am saying is that getting good at parrying is hard, but it IS a crucial skill that will stop these spammy characters that die pretty fast from beating you over and over again and taking over the game. Nerfs notwithstanding, this is how you gain an advantage on the matchup. It also makes you less of a scrub that thinks striving to get better is “shilling”

His opinions about the game kept getting worse and worse I’m glad he’s not playing it anymore. Him begging for shields without grabs and ledge grabs is one of the worst things I’ve ever heard from a KZbinr with legitimate influence over a game. Hopefully he doesn’t return to help shrink the playerbase even further.

I love the foreburn gameplay, Void certainly is one of the best. I really wish he played Maypul/Ranno/Orcane to better represent his historic picks like Pichu and Sheik. Fors is a T&J ass character with the clone though and the offensive options it opens up lol
