Jake is a Gimmick character with Fundamental mechanics and a Fundamental character with Gimmick design. His moveset doesn't flow like a fundamental character but his gimmicks are honest, his long moves have hurt boxes and half his moveset is undertuned situational gimmicky bullshit. He was born as a dishonest character but lived an honest life and reaped the rewards of neither

Just wanted to let you know. It’s hard to do, but with Jake: Hitting an up air, and then two up specials will ring an opponent out from the top starting from around 40% Make sure you stretch as far as you can on the first up special and have the stun perk for it equipped,
