I just received my 95 Survive Scandi. It is really makes fantastic feather sticks easily. The thin blade makes cutting and carving effortless. At first, I didn't like the handle because it didn't feel locked in, but when I moved hand forward or rearward on the handle, my grip felt solid. The fit and finish are top notch. My biggest problem with Survive! is takes so long to receive your order. If you are willing to wait, Survive! makes one helluva knife.

I just got my 4.5 Scandi in .095 yesterday and its amazing. If anyone is wondering if the coating will prevent it from striking a ferro rod, I can confirm it will still throw sparks.

Beautiful knife. I know you guys get bombarded ceaselessly about delays, but you should know you’re doing an incredible job of not compromising on F&F, or Quality so that you can keep up with orders. Eagerly awaiting my GSO 5.1 I’m considering one of the EDC but the only thing holding be back is that sheath, while excellent quality, doesn’t seem to be too compatible with other accessories. That being said, phenomenal job Guy! I’ve already got one friend to buy a knife from you.

Could you do a video comparing the GSO 4 and 4.5 Standard? Eyeing a new knife and would love to understand the slight differences and which might be better for certain purposes, aside from the obvious blade length difference!

The platform is compatible with sagewood but NOT with any other accessories such as tek-lok, molle-lok, etc. 😝 Cutting oblongs instead of holes for that clip to mount to would have abrogated this with minimal effort/expense. It also rides high on the waist and stands proud, resulting in snagging. Clipping it to the inside of the pocket, it occupies more space than is necessary. Additionally, the fact that it stops mid-handle means that the balance point isn't low enough to keep the handle from leaning away from you whether clipped to a pocket, strap, or riding on a dangler. Finally, it does not mount at angle nor is it swappable from model to model. Well, I guess it's at least a step up from the old double-loop... All of these issues, including the universality, are solved by my UKE. 🤷

We included an update on those in our recent shop walk through. We've been shipping GSO-5.1s but the first huge batches will begin shipping out next week. We'll keep the video updates rolling, to keep everyone in the loop. I do sincerely apologize for the delay, we never expected that an issue could happen that was large enough to stop our entire operation. We've taken that issue into account for moving forward, so something like that can't happen again.
