Great video, mate. I enjoyed watching this video - Welshpool to Yarram. I like how you showed all these little towns and the new trail from Nyora to Leongatha. Unfortunately, we don't see much in the media about the towns in South Gippsland, especially the Leongatha Station precinct and Korumburra Station precinct. Yarram is a beautiful place, and I appreciate you showing around these towns. (The trail is 130 km from Nyora to Yarram; however, some say it's 131 km.) It's sad to see no trains anymore in South Gippsland. It was a pleasure watching your videos on the Great Southern Rail Trail.

Hi and a big thank you. The original aim was always to point out that all these towns still exist, and they are worth visiting. The fact that they remain linked not just by region but also by the trails following the former train line is a bonus, and still a way to travel to these towns. We will be commencing on other trails now and will continue to have a focus on the towns along the way. Peter.

Mate, something you may not have known was the South Gippsland Line reached Woodside before it was eventually closed and shortened back to Yarram. I have seen the timeline for that section somewhere but I have now forgotten when it was opened and closed. You’ve got to give credit to those early rail engineers for having ambitions. The original plan was to extend the line from Yarram to Sale and connect to the Gippsland line but that idea never eventuated.

@@Geoff-m7j There is not always really clear information readily available on the history of all these lines and areas. I like to acknowledge the work that went on before and yes some really amazing efforts considering terrain and distances covered by railways. My main criteria though is to highlight that these towns still exist and are still connected either by road or trail and very much still worth visiting. Really appreciate you watching.

Thanks so much for sharing this ride with us. Great to go on the ride along, how do you get the great drone shots ?

Hi, I've been practicing with the drone a lot. Still learning! Hoping to just get better as we do more and more trails. Currently walking some urban trails in Boston Ma USA. Would really have loved to have been able to bring the drone along, it was just going to be to much hassle to do it legally, which is important. Really appreciate you watching. More to come. Peter

You should have taken a detour to Port Albert and have some Fish n Chips! Some of the best Fish n Chips can be found there.

Hi, I just hadn't got back there yet. Will be doing the Alberton to Port Albert Section hopefully next weekend. Thanks for watching.
