Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2003, with an intake of 60 students. Strength of the department lies in the teaching and technical staff. The department has full-fledged laboratories as prescribed by VTU syllabus with modern equipments. The department has IEEE-PES and ISLE student chapters which conducts many activities throughout the academic year like Industrial visits, technical talks, skill enhancement programs and other co-curricular activities. Staff members are active in research work and has published research papers in reputed journals.
Department empowers women students to transform themselves into committed professionals by providing rigorous training in engineering fundamentals and combining studies in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with a variety of other fields such as Electronics, Computer Science, Robotics, AI and Machine Learning. Department provides a conducive atmosphere where students can augment the regular courses with value added Nano Certification programs offered by core companies. Courses in entrepreneurship help to ignite their Ideation and Innovations.
Students enroll for mini projects from their 2nd year of study on a project of their design or work on Agricultural, Industrial or Societal projects. The Department has a support system in place for students attending Engineering Conferences/workshops/project exhibitions in peer colleges, whether it is to present papers/project results or to imbibe valuable professional development opportunities. There is also funding through various agencies for students whose projects have an innovative and entrepreneurial focus.
The department continuously monitors and upgrades Skill Enhancement Programs which are collaborative and interdisciplinary which facilitates our graduates to excel in engineering innovation and life-long learning.
Students are encouraged to participate in Cultural, Sports and Community Service Programs for their holistic development.
Our Alumnae work in a wide range of domains in Corporate, Industries, and Government and PSU sectors. A significant percentage of our graduates go for higher studies at universities in India and abroad.
