They weren't plugged in without the antenna as the module wasn't plugged in at that point. It's a wireless add on module that requires the antenna at that point, but without the module they work well to have the video input using the AV input.

Yes, they have a module for 2.4 video to be received. Check the ReadyMadeRC site using the search bar entering "Dominator" and you'll find that 2.4 module as well as the range of options for those goggles. ;)

But, yes, you are correct, you always want to have an antenna on your vtx/vrx to avoid issues. Mainly that's an issue on the vtx side due to the heat the unit will produce.

They won't work with glasses but there are some diopters for nearsighted vision available at ReadyMadeRC. ;) Otherwise I'd recommend a monitor if those won't fit the bill.

Great video. I am just getting into FPV, and came across your review. I am interested in getting a complete FatShark FPV system for my quad. Do I need to get an FCC Ham radio license before purchasing this setup? Thanks again for any help.

Lots of good options out there, but I really like the Dominators for their glass optics and optional modules. The shop was cleaned up for the video... it's a mess now! haha

Can you use this with reading glasses or would it be better to have a moniter with blinders.

you had them pluged in with no antenna. doing this will fry your module right?... do they still work?...
