I had been in the market for an OM for a while, resigning myself to having to order a Martin that would have taken a year and a half to wait for (covid times), when I had the great fortune to view J.P.'s very first review of Krakat guitars, just 3 hours after he uploaded it. I went on the Parkway site and couldn't believe the Krakat OM that was available. If you go to George's website, in his gallery it's the second one down. Sitka spruce top, highly figured bubinga back and sides. It was $1900, and I didn't think twice before I purchased it. It plays like a dream, sounds incredible, and is the most beautiful instrument to behold. It is nothing short of a work of art, and I get such pleasure from playing it. George really is a superb builder; I called him up one day and we talked for quite a while, great guy. if you're in the market for a fine hand-built guitar, seriously consider having George build you one, these guitars are special. Thanks George & J.P.!

$2,899 US = just north of 4K Canadian. Still, a Martin of that quality (would have to be custom shop) 8 to 10k CAD or beyond. This Dreadnaught sounds incredible on my iPad speaker. I can imagine how great it sounds in that room!

Matt and Tommy run a great shop. I live about 2 minutes from Parkway and they have always been my go-to shop since their beginnings. Great staff, great service, great selection.....and they're both great players, as well. They understand the business and never hard sell. They truly exist to help the musician. Salt of the earth people for sure.

Wow! If the same woods, appointments, and spec's were used by any other boutique builder, they would cost easily twice as much as these gorgeous looking & sounding Krakat acoustic's. Very high quality hand-made, extremely low production totals, yet sold at a bargain price..........that's simply unheard of.

Omg! I just found out about Parkway music. You’re actually in Clifton Park. I just relocated to Lake George and bought this Les Paul from a guy here, and the receipt from the original purchase was from Parkway and still in the case, nothing was opened not even the warranty or the strap that came with it. Great deal, but I need to replace my Martin that I had to sell years ago. Can’t wait to check out the guitars you just demoed. Thanks so much for your insight and professional opinion on different models, brands and comparisons that have enlightened me to alternative choices to the standard options.

Under 3,000 for the first guitar and 4,500 for the flagship. That's an insanely good price for a hand built bluegrass artillery piece. What a time to play guitar and what a store.

Morning Big John, I owned a Gretsch Country Gentleman when I was 18. The band broke up and I had to send it back. It was a very fancy guitar. Just like Gorge Harrison's of the Beatles. That's why I bought it. $850.00 back in 1965. Now I have a Boucher simply because J.P. Cormier had one. The best guitar that I have ever owned!!!!
