Absolutly amazing. It´s incredible how the mankind is capable to make art with machines.

Back in 1980's, Suzuki used to make a lot of their crankshafts in pieces and press them together. This was so they could press roller bearing assemblies in between the crank throws. The con rods were pressed into the assembly as well. GS1100 cranks had to be removed and welded to get anymore than 130 horsepower out of them. The one-piece, forged cranks shown here are probably much stronger.

@@Ishvires Most likely depends on how many wheelies it has performed. Weren't they notorious for loosing 2 nd gear under those "abuses."

Ive got an 86 GSX-R1100 in Blue/white, had it since around mid 90s, motor is still a peach, burns no oil, cams still well within spec. I had the head off to replace an o-ring in the front oil return pipe that was weeping. They are such good engines, and bulletproof, plus very easy to get more HP out of. My 2001 GS 1200SS has the same basic engine but is 1156c. (basically a Bandit 1200 engine in a retro twin shock chassis with hints of early GSX-R styling).

So much time and effort wasted on the exhaust.
@Zx14rrrrrrrrrrr8 жыл бұрын
+Ricardo Crispim na I know.. But 90 percent of people take the oem exhaust off as soon as they buy the bike. So it's kind of a waste.
@Zx14rrrrrrrrrrr8 жыл бұрын
***** na I agree.. I'm just saying these sport bike companies should partner up with someone like Yoshimura or akrapovic instead of wasting time and money to make these huge heavy exhausts that no one wants.
@Zx14rrrrrrrrrrr8 жыл бұрын
+Ricardo Crispim they could always add a extra removable baffle from stock.. Take it off later.. Everyone is happy!
@patricknintemann9248 жыл бұрын
it is because of law regulation for new bikes . they have to be quiet by law . but when you own it or buy it used you can change the exaust . i have this bike . also with the stock exhaust .
