Hey bud,just bought my 20 model aswell.14 years on dirtbikes only this is my first road bike.. love it too bits,engine is fantastic from bottom to top.i just found the sitting position perfect coming from dirtbikes.👍👍

Did u happen to ride the Kawasaki z1000ABS or z900? Just wondered if you did and what you thought or why you didn’t. Also, can you say who did the Dyno tuning? If I end up with one of these, I have heard the throttle is a bit snatchy and a good remap is well worth the money. Cheers

Hi Jeremy, mate I did have a look at the Kawa as well as looking over the specs, and I didn't really like it, same goes for the Honda CB1000R. I also had planned to ride the range of Yamaha MT's but there were none available locally to test ride. To be honest after riding the Suzuki it's hard to find a better option for the same price. I got the tuning work done at Sportcycles in Whitebridge near Newcastle NSW, Australia. Flash tuning is definitely the go to fix the throttle snatch.

@@chefromel9238 Hi mate, officially I believe it is up only. However if you match your revs and speed it will shift quite nicely down gears without the clutch also. I usually just use the clutch for down shifts...

hey mate did this headers slip straight on to the sc pipe? and where did you purchase the headers from? beaut bike you've go there.

Hi mate, cheers! I sold the bike a little while ago and I do miss it a bit! I got the headers put on first and they bolted straight up to the stock muffler box/cat, and end can. Then I purchased the SC can later and it slipped straight onto the Lextek headers. I purchased the Lextek and the SC parts online off their websites.

So I just picked up a gsxs1000 with im guessing the same tuning and quickshifter etc. No one explained the pit lane button to me haha was wondering why it just slowed my bike so thanks for that. Not sure if I have launch control on mine but how does it work?

Gday mate, so you've got a button on yours as well? It actually did not come standard with the Woolich kit, I had to pay extra to have my tuner install that for me. I have not tried the launch control yet, but it was tested on the dyno during the tuning phase - basically when you are in first gear you can pull the clutch and give it 100% throttle, the software will only allow a certain percentage of throttle to be applied as you release the clutch, then at a pre-set speed (around 30-40 kph) it will introduce the full 100% throttle allowing the bike to get off the line without going too feral 👌

How much of a difference between your dirt bikes and the GSX-S as in power delivery, getting used to etc. Thinking about upgrading from my Ninja 650. Really don't care to upgrade to a 600 then to a 1000

Hey mate, the power delivery on my worked quads is pretty wild, you touch the throttle and they want to wheelie, the GSXS is pretty tame on low to mid throttle, especially with traction on, but when it gets over 7000 revs it goes feral, bloody scares me haha! I'm also a heavier guy, so I was talked out of getting a 600 by mates, no regrets going straight to the litre bike!

Hey bud, sorry I picked these up off a mate, no idea where he picked them up from. They were just a gloss film, I guess you could buy a generic sheet of it and cut to suit...

Are you experiencing a low rpm judder after the mods? In low rpms the bike judders or shakes if ridden around 1500-2000 rpm constantly...

No not at all, since the tune the throttle feels even better than stock, especially at low rpm and on/off throttle.
