For that price you get great handling, slipper clutch, reliability from the K5 and 150 HP at the rear wheel, not the crank. I use mine for long haul work on the interstate. The only thing I wish I had and I'm going to have to install aftermarket is cruise control, soft bags over the rear and LED headlights. Otherwise after adjusting the suspension this bike is awesome. I am so glad I chose this over the Kawi. Definitely recommend!

I bought my 2018 gsxs1000z new in 2019 for a great price, after learning to ride on a 99 600 katana. What a bike!! I love it, killer torque, great handling, better fuel mileage, and the upper rpm power. I mean above 8500 rpm you had better keep a good trip on the bar or you feel like you will just slide off the seat. It even pulled the front wheel up a couple of times without gearing down. The abs works perfectly when needed and doesn't interfere when not. And after a few aftermarket mods, levers, tail tuck, puig screen, led turn signals, bar end mirrors I get at least 3 of 4 complements every time I go for a ride. I will have to say that now I can keep up with almost anything, if I want too and my lower back isn't screaming to stop and rest every 20 minutes. All day rides are a joy now compared to the (can of tuna) I was on before. As I said before, I love my bike!

This is the bike for the rider who wants the character of a Japanese supersport from 15 years ago with some modern technology. It’s not a sport touring bike. It’s a comfortable fully capable sport bike. I just wish they would update it with cruise control and the dash from the Katana.

Two comments I disagree with. 1. Stock, torque is usually around 74 ft lbs, not 80 to 90. 2. The handling is decent, but the rear shock sucks. Price point.
@AlexSimmons11c4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for adding! I think there was a difference between the original released torque spec vs actual dyno, could be a reason for the difference, but all HP and torque specs found online anywhere have to be taken with a grain of salt anyway haha. I found the rear shock to be adequate, not mind blowing, but good enough for the way I was riding.
