Ive owned a 600 gsxr 2014 for 5,000 miles and let me clear some things up. For one the front doesnt look as good as the last gen but it grows on you and looks much better when the headlights on, and theres 5000k hid goin. Second you can adjust the footpegs and but everyone knows the r6 is leaned forward waay more then the gsxr and is actually why I didnt buy one. And the bikes power kicks in at 5500 rpms, and its just as fast as youre r6 except has a more linear power band, which makes it the better street bike. Man you really should redo this review, worst ever.

My 2011 GSXR 600 is a pretty great bike. Very smooth and i feel extremely confident putting it in tight corners and am not afraid to give it some throttle because it doesn't do anything out of the ordinary and is quite easy to ride.

Yay! You're driving my bike today! Keep in mind that the foot pegs are adjustable and there's A mode and a B mode. You might of had it in B mode that whole time. To change the mode, it's right under the clutch lever.

There are 3 modes; A, B, & C mode. I have a '09 Gixxer 750 (first bike; I grew up researching and growing my passion for bikes way before I ever got one). But yea, in order to actually mode select, you have to press and holdddddd the mode selector; up or down arrow. After doing that, it'll show you which mode you're currently in; A mode is default (Turn bike on, it's in A. Change it to C, turn bike off......turn bike back on,...yup, it's in A mode again). I'm one of those guys who skipped the 600 and took the 750. Stupid not to lol. But GAHHHH is my bike FAST. It's geared and I LOVE IT. The good thing about the gsxr is everything is adjustable you jus have to play around with the gear shift and pegs to suit you. I have a gsxr 600 with pc3 an I absolutely love it very comfortable and more than enough power. Long time follower an glad to see you review a bike I have! Keep up the great work you do!

Thinking about getting a bike here in the near future. I like the first ride vids because it can give me an idea of the features that I may or may not like in a bike, and what I should look into more when I check them out at a dealer. I was debating hard between Yamaha r6 and GSXR 600. However, I do have a bad back, which would make riding this bike for long difficult. I enjoyed the vid!

i test rode the exact same bike a couple months ago and hated how much I loved it. I'm around 5'6-5'7 and could actually flat foot both feet at a red light. to me that is a BIG deal comparing to my friends '06 600RR I tried and it felt like a monster, kinda how you explained the R6 was. I guess the seating position isn't for every one. I hope I can get my hands on a new 636 some time so I could compare, sitting on one in a dealer doesn't do it justice

Chase, the bike does have more power to it, the mode buttons under the kill switch is to put it into its different modes A is for full race which makes the injectors push more fuel and raise the Rev limiter up to 17k, I have an 08 gsxr 600 that has it and it's a big difference when you throw it in race mode

Love my gsxr. Takes some time to get used to the switch from an r6 to a gsxr. But once you get used to it. Awesome track bike. I have a about 35,000 miles on my 08 and she runs like a champ!

Er, you are riding a race-track bike in urban areas like an ole lady and complain. Find a nice twisty back road with not much traffic and let it rip and you will find out why the riding position works (btw I always like to sit 'in' a bike rather than on top of it). The GSXR 600 won a sport-bike comparo against the other 600s in Sport Rider magazine this year including the R6 and even the new Daytona 675. Compact 600s are not the most comfortable for tall riders though. I'm an old geezer and average size so my Triumph STR 675 works quite nicely for street riding.

Same place I get my bike worked on. O.o You can tell when it revved up that the powerband doesn't kick in, it's stretched through out. My ninja 636 has that immediate pull at about 8000 and it's the reason I love it. Having said that I like to be one with my bike and when I sat on an R6 I didn't enjoy being "on top" of it. To each his own.

The mode button is up by the clutch but it defaults full power every time the bike is started. I only put mine in "b" mode to make sure it would go into it but I always ride full power.

+chaseontwowheels I guess it comes down to preference,I owned a 2008 Yamaha R6 for a year,sold it and got myself a 2011 Suzuki gsxr 600 and what I loved more about the gixxer it was the riding position,the sitting position on the R6 was just too aggressive for me,after a couple hours of riding my wrists would start hurting,I do agree on the power band,the r6 has a little more kicked to it than the gixxer,handling is pretty much the same,both bikes are very light and easy to maneuver,looks wise I would give it to the R6,not a big fan of the headlight on the gixxer,I loved my gsxr but unfortunately it got stolen 😢 and now im back on a 2008 yamaha R6 again lol I've owned an 06 ninja zx6r,2 2008 yamaha's R6,05 Honda cbr1000rr and I would choose the 2011 gixxer over all of them,just my opinion,next bike I really want to get my hands on is the 09 and up Yamaha R1,love the sound of that crossplane engine,anyways just wanted to give my 2 cents and thanks for the videos,I enjoy them a lot specially now since I can't ride because of the stupid cold weather here in Massachusetts 😠 Ride safe bro!

My first super sport is a 2009 Yamaha R6. Felt weird at first compared to my starter cbr250 but got comfortable after awhile. I recently went to get my bike inspected and sat on a 2014 gsxr 600. I felt more comfortable on my r6 probably cause I never sat on any other supersports and was use to the higher seating position. Plus the seat height difference between a gsxr and r6 is like 1.5 inches. R6 has taller seat height, I can flat foot both feet on a gsxr but not on my r6.

If you ever get to ride one again you should adjust the foot sets for your comfort/style. When I rode a k9 for the first time I couldn't understand what everyone was talking about when they said the gsxr had the best ergo package. Then I moved the foot sets and that single inch made a world of difference. Also sitting down in the bike is a big advantage for handling, they do everything they can to bring the weight on these bikes lower to the ground, lowering the engine for example, the lower seat height and tucked seat position helps bring the heaviest part of the bike, the rider, closer to where it should ideally be. Haven't ridden an r6 yet though, maybe I'm missing something and it is more comfortable but most of the things I've read/watched/heard from other riders says the gsxr and cbr are the go for comfort and ergos.

I think that once you get used to riding a certain bike, anything else feels weird and uncomfortable. I've never owned anything other than a gsxr, but I was recently able to ride a friend's zx10r. I loved the power and the performance, but I was uncomfortable the entire time. It probably takes some time getting adjusted to a new bike. Great video though, I'm glad you were able to test drive a gsxr.

The power-ban is at 7rpm and it kits I currently own one. The front like does grow in you. The seating is questionable. However it rides like a champ.

My 04 gsxr 600 looks like unit 01 from evangelion... I love it. It's a beast. My friend had an 03 R6... I think the 04 gsxr was a better ride. Super smooth.. maybe because the steering damper? But u didn't have to work to get speed out of either.. crack that wrist you puss...

I have a '12 R6 which I love, but this video makes me miss my gsxr's lol. I had a 06 gsxr 600 and a 07 gsxr 750. Anyone looking into a 600, you can't really go wrong with any of them. The only thing I liked more about Suzuki was the gear indicator, which isn't a big deal once you go without it long enough

I love my Gixxer 600! i think it is more comfortable than an R6 for sure. I think the Ninja sits the closest to a gixxer and the CBR is just a tad higher than the two. I am 5'8" on my best day and being a little shorter, the possisioning is perfect. I had to adjust the shifter, but to even be able to do that is a plus. I hate the whole squid thing but it's also dumb to hear someone talk smack and to have never ridden one. To each their own i guess. Thanks for the vid, Chase. I enjoyed it.

9:15 I do a lot of mountain biking (bicycle) and when I sit the seat higher, I can feel more control over the bike. When it is low, I feel like the bike is superior to me.

Im pretty sure you know now lol but on suzuki's you have to put the clutch in before you start even if its in neutral, but nice video im a big fan love your channel! Be safe
