I'm glad you get our humor😂. We are good with you using our ideas. Really we are good with all of the #wolfticknation using our ideas. There are some bigger channels that are now trying to use some of our segment ideas or copy the way we do things that are defiantly not part of the nation. It wouldn't bother us if they were to give us some credit or be apart of the channel like we try to do with our supporters that have channels. It seems like once we made the nox influencer top 100 KZbin channels for subscriber growth, certain channels started doing some familiar things. Thanks bud👍

We had started something like that and we had to deal with the whole covid crap, but maybe when we can get our hands on some bikes we will.👍 Thanks man

That would range considering the choice of parts you can use. Maybe they can do like a low, mid and high tier upgrades comparison. I'm planning to upgrade slowly over time, which you wouldn't do necessarily with a new bike that's ready to go, so that's one big benefit. I got a Schwinn Ascension and If I were to estimate it, ill probably be around $900, everything included, bike and upgrades. The Recon RL being the most expensive thing. Everything else I'll probably buy used.

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS coffee sponsor maybe? the problem with most sponsored channels is they can't do reviews or what they review is limited, but that of course depends on the brand and how their contract is how strict they are. but a think I would not want is to be an annoying walking advertisement, squeezing product placement everywhere. stay true to your self, don't let people dictate how the channel should be, so no signing contract of league of legends advertising horrible game talking about it in each video several times. some do that.

Zee pads work w/ the 420s...but kind of noisy they click back and forth...i had used masking tape to quiet it up seems to work...but it really wasn't worth the money unless you like the looks of them...but what was worth the money was the zee levers it has better feels and modulation than the the stock 401levers if the zee levers are to much stick w/ slx or higher anything w/ servowave. By the way the pnw coast dropper w/ the loan controller is a choice combo w/ 40mm of compliance when you hit hard and you can set it to your weight using a air pump...plus the cable doesn't move around like the ks does.

Right on about the number of gears. The ratio between top and bottom gear is the most important thing. As long as the ratio between each gear isn't jarring to you the number of gears isn't important. Plus coming from an e-biker's POV less gears means a thicker/stronger chain which should help with any torque you put into climbing. I'm only running a 10 speed on my e-mtb because in 2017 you couldn't get a wide ratio 8 speed. Thanks so much. I thought I was the only guy ham handed enough that I couldn't modulate a hydraulic brake. I'm sure they've improved but in the 90s I always felt like I was going to fly over the bars hitting the front hydraulic brake & stuck to mechanical on my bikes since.

I still have the stock brakes. No OTBs or feathering issues in the front, lol. We don't have designated rated trails where I am (leaves, branches, rocks, moss) so you can be riding a green that turns into a black quickly as far as difficulty is concerned. There are a couple of good downhills that are 'fairly' tame. Been riding with more weight towards the front because the Epixon keeps the wheel well planted. MUCH, MUCH better control than the XCT once you have it dialed in. You'll like it. P.S. Jessi Colter's song. I got it...lol.

Your bike is so sweet dude. These videos were part of the reason I got this bike. GT probably owes you a free bike if they haven't already. I've seen some really goofy 'gt sponsored' rider vids on youtube where the sponsored rider with a 'broken rib' is riding one of their 10k bikes chasing the tail of a stranger on the same trail then they go on to make fun of the guys for not making way or whatever. GT might need to rethink who they're supporting as a brand IMO.

you should definitely try Michelin Wild Enduro Rear GUM-X3 & Michelin WIld Enduro Front Magi-X, I have 23mm rim, use Cush Core Ppro. the tyres are easy to install. they roll faster than my previous setups. they turn much better, the front end is much more stable cus the side knobs are supported more, they are stiffer. so far this is my fav combo.

OOOHHHH! Well im glad you like them, I need to go to your channel and watch;) You do some pretty good reviews.

One of the biggest benefits of 8/9/10speed groupsets vs 11/12 is they are much easier to adjust and the chains are stronger since they're thicker.

I plan on getting a jessica headset for my aggressor pro eventually, might get a slightly shorter stem for it too I'm also debating on a getting a dropper once I get my bday money, but i might sell the bike and not really sure the price to performance is worth it for a dropper. Great to see the gt back on the channel again have a great day! 🤙🤙

I apologize for the noob question. I've been glued to your videos I think they are outstanding. My question is your videos are based off teh GT Agressor Pro, I have a 2019 GT Agressor sport Large frame (red). Do all your upgrades apply to my bike I've done some research and am still lost. Thank you!!
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS3 жыл бұрын
Well thank you very much for being GLUED to our channel! Def not a bad thing?? LOL Now I have looked up your bike and it seems all things equal, so to answer your question all upgrades will be transferable, now that being said here is were it gets a little hairy, the sunrace 14-38 cassette may be a freewheel(meaning, in order to change out lets say your gearing you may have to get a new rear wheel with a free hub to accommodate a cassette) Most likely it is a cassette and you wont have any issues but if it is a freewheel you may. Now what are you looking at upgrading? Lets start there
@mtbboy19933 жыл бұрын
the stiffness will depend on the stem design and the handlebar, how it's engineered, thickness, and so on. there are bars out there that will feel the same no matter diameter. but you are right that bigger diameter will be harsher.
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS3 жыл бұрын
Def a lot harsher, thats a good word. Do you run a 35mm???
@mtbboy19933 жыл бұрын
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I run Renthal Apex 35, 33mm length, 800mm 30mm riser bar, RevGrips 34mm. The race face bar has flex built into it, if doing something harsh, or put lot sof weight on it it will give in, but I still feel vibrations, the fork used also plays a role and of course the stem, grips. But mine dampen vibrations.

I am new subscriber ,great reviews. does this worth the price difference over the boundary or the al comp? I never ride a mountain bike before. thanks
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS3 жыл бұрын
Thanks a bunch for the comment and subscribing man. Now first of all, if you are a bigger guy I would say the Boundary and of you are 5'6" or smaller I would go with the Al Comp. They both have upsides but a different tire and frame size, which really makes a difference. Also light trails and mainly road stuff? The comp it's got 3 chiain rings up front so you have more gearing options, but the Boundary is a 1x so upgrades may be a little easier as far as the drivetrain is concerned. It's a lot to consider but maybe size overall is going to be the biggest positive or negative. If you can find one on store that would be the best to try and see the fit.

Hey guys, I just got the Schwinn Ascension and I really like it, but after seeing this video I don't want to start upgrading it yet since I can still return it, so that leads me to my next question. I'm looking for the best bike under $500. I always had GT's in the 90's and I really liked them. So this one peaked my interest. With that said, would you keep the Schwinn Ascension, or get the GT aggressor? Or do you have another recommendation? I wouldn't mind going a little over $500.
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS3 жыл бұрын
We like all the schwinns and the GT Aggressor pro is our flagship bike so to speak. We don't recommend stuff so it's really up to you. If you plan on doing a lot of upgrades it wont matter which one you have. Just remember the Ascension has a tapered headtube and a 31.6 seat post so you can get better parts for those. If you are going to keep it really budget then it don't matter. Hope this helps👍

I have one and was wondering what are the must haves on upgrades and also what do you think about the gears it comes with? Are they not up to pro standards where you need to change them or what? Basically what can remain stock if anything at all? I'm new to this whole bike scene and have used the pro as it came for 3 months and I have really enjoyed it on road and off road up and down steep hills. Maybe for a rookie this feels amazing enough but I'm sure if there is really so much better upgrades one must have then I might be enlightened! Thanks for making these videos but I would also love to see comparison of stock parts vs the upgrades to see the difference on paper
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS3 жыл бұрын
Hey brother it all plays t what kind of riding you are doing, the 11-35T is not much gearing and I am sure "pros" dont run anything like that. So that being said if you watch our groupset videos they offer a much more budget alternative to what the "pros" would buy. Mainly upgrading groupsets is for the ease of climbing and chain slap issues as well as chain jumping. It makes a huge difference all around, but the GT's groupset I would say is fine for a beginner.
@ericinfante18853 жыл бұрын
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS what would be the greatest groupset int he budget category? And what would be the best in a high end? Or is it not really as clear as to say one type crushes the rest?

You guys rock Thank you for being you 👍🔥 my Ixf is now 2 years old. Not one issue either, I can’t fault. I was checking the specs for the MT-420 Brakes and it stated in the literature that they are only compatible with resin brake pads, but there is no reason why you couldn’t replace the brake disks with ones which would be suited for metal or ceramic pads. Ahhh you’ve already replaced the disks Cool. Question what would be your thoughts on a Mtb Carbon frame hard tail or double suspension Budget Build? I’d love to get a GT AVALANCHE and upgrade it.

Really look forward to the upload, regards to you and the Wolf 👍 ive still got the same Carrera vengeance budget upgraded but I’m interested in probably getting a Chinese carbon frame with a external screw in compatible bottom bracket or the GT AVALANCHE and up grade it.

those grips seem to be nice, I had similar grips, but way too thin for me. many bikes come with way too thin grips, so far I've not seen grips change with size of bike yet. but I guess most people can use too small grips first easy, but too big is not a good idea, but on bigger bikes the rider will have bigger hands too. I use 34mm grips.

have you thought of trying different brake pads? I know there are some cheaper alternatives, and some say some are better than original. So far the best pads I've tried are TRP/Tektro red/semi metallic pads, durable, great bite. with Shimano metallic pads I cracked those. but did not happen with the TRP pads yet.
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS3 жыл бұрын
Yeah man, I mention it in the video. I would like to try some finned semi metallic pads. Just dont know if my rotors will like them and if my 420s will fit?
@mtbboy19933 жыл бұрын
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS as long as you get correct type, so check that, and don't confuse dual piston pads with four piston pads, or brake pads for ZEE, Saint, and the new XTR m9020 brakes with old model, I don't know which type these use, but the old finned pads won't fit into new brakes
