GT3 Fixed at Spa - iRacing Mustang GT3

Here are my thoughts on the Mustang vs Corvette GT3's.

First time seeing a vid on your channel. Not an iracer myself, but i like the content. Would be nice to see the steering wheel though when you're driving

Thank you! The reason I have the wheel turned off is it’s just slightly different from my wheel when it moves, so it gets a little distracting for me haha

I agree on the comparisons to the Merc. It makes sense as they (and the BMW) are front engined, the Vette and Ferrari, Mclaren, etc are mid engine.I want to run the Mustang badly, it looks cool and sounds great! Fingers crossed the setup shops work some magic on corner entry though! I don''t think I've got the skill set to run it in fixed much.

visibility and cornering are also an issue in the stang. i had to move my driver height way up to see the curbs for entry/exit.

Yeah, that narrow sunstrip and buldgey hood blocks a lot.

I had a hilarious GT3 race at spa where I started in 25th position and finished in eighth position but I didn’t pass one person. It was just people wrecking. Gotta love iDemolitionderby

yep I test drove them both a bunch yesterday at VIR full and the mustang feels like a tank compared to the z06. one of the biggest issues I personally have with the stang is if you start to slide its very difficult to regain control. they both spin rather easily if you arent careful with the power but the vette is easier for me to regain control and/or avoid going off or spinning entirely.

I completely agree. In practice I kept spinning out of the corner. Just have to have a bit better throttle control in my case.

The mustang feels better under straight line braking though. the vette is more twitchy.

I noticed that too. I tried a race with the Vette the other day and almost lost it down the straight.
