I have a remote oil filter housing with thermostat ready for install. I’m also planning on safety wiring the hardware securing the oil pedestal adapter to the block. Don’t worry I’ve thought ahead on this engine.

With 500E W124's getting pricey this looks like a relatively economical way into a similar experience. Did the donor car have the NA OM606 in it or had someone retrofitted the right side fender? Please make a good effort to make it handle and drive as well as a genuine W124 036, they are special cars ☺️

I'd out that engine in a VW golf mk2... Radiator in the back, rwd conversion. I'm guessing the firewall would need to be moved back just a smudge, but that's expected when doing a big engine in a smal car 😅

I haven't heard it mentioned, but please give this thing a cartridge style oil filter if it still has the standard screw-on style one! I'm assuming you know what happened to AdamLZ's GT350 because of the weird harmonics of this engine. According to Adam it was even mentioned by Ford as a known issue.

Fun fact. In order for Mercedes to put in their v8 they had to widen the engine bay. Which in turn made the v8 w124 to wide for it's already built assembly line. Therefore they rented a Porsche factory close by to help them assemble the v8 models. That same factory where also used by Audi at the time to build their s2 model.

if i had a spare voodoo engine id convert my 89 ef civic to rear wheel drive and force it to fit. I may not have a voodoo gt350 engine but i may just so happen to have a v8 out of a 68 mustang gt500 though so we'll see ;)
