decided to do this race in f1 car. 5 hours in realized i had no head lights. I've been driving for almost 5 hours in the dark. i could probably complete a lap with my eyes closed almost.

I did the 24 hour race in GT5 over about 4 days, pausing it to sleep. I also gained enough of a lead to leave it running parked for a few hours... They released the patch to save during the race like a week later lol.

It's not cheating. At least you need to drive for 4 hours then let other drivers in your team drive the car so you have time to rest.

@@jeffsond Yes, in gt6 they turned the 24hrs to 24 minutes, for health and time, in gt4 I did it and took almost 1 day, it was very hard, and for make it faster, I used the B pilot, because had an option that make the time fast.

I did the 24 Hours of Le Mans in GT5 with a Jaguar XJR-9. It took me 1 week to finish this race and by the time when the 1 week was over I ended up spending the last 4 Hours and winning the race with 402 Laps.

In a sense. If you concentrate on the race, it's not really a problem, though after a few hours, you kinda focus less on the racing, and more on getting the time to pass, which results in stupid errors. The rain didn't help either.

Someone probably answered your question already but, theres a "suspend race" option when you enter the pit stop... it saves your time and lap, and quits the game. Next time you put GT5 in, it'll restart same spot you were before.

If you want to make it as easy as possible, go with the Red Bull X2010 or X2011. If you want a challenge that is fun, then go with the Peugeot 908 or a Mazda 787B with lower HP.

I'm actually planning to do this soon, but not in the career, just on arcade mode with unlimited laps. I've done a few 3 hour tests just to see if the racing would be close and how bored i would get and i think i'm ready to attempt this. I'm thinking i might do it on a smaller track, that way theres gonna be more action. Anyway - Got any tips for when it gets extremely boring after around 3 hours in? There are long plays of games of various lengths, and people (including me) watch them in full, sometimes for more than 24 hours. To each person his/her tastes and preferences.
