This depiction stretches the full 29,000 feet from sea level to top while the real mountain is already sitting on the Tibetan pleatau that sits at almost 15,000 above sea level which only puts it at 14,000 feet tall compared to the surrounding landscape.

This kind of "going down" is best suited for Niko, his VA really outdid himself. But yeah, it would be fun if they climbed up only to find a drunk Russian sleeping there, because he forgot where his home was and went the wrong direction. And they'd test the "going down on foot" method on him. But times are different. It's now a sensitive subject.

@@topherb83topher51 it could be a one hour run if one has unlimited stamina, immunity to low temperature, also not affected by obstacles and could run it up in a straight path. But that's not possible so it takes long to climb.

If he could run straight like Michael, maybe 20 minutes. The average person could very well finish it within an hour.

Did you take into account the vertical height or the triangulated slope distance? Because the distance they covered isn't 8848m, it's way more

@@osasunaitor You're absolutely right. 8,848 metres is just the height above sea level, and since going down horizontally will cover more distance than vertically, it's definitely over 9 kilometres. But because we don't know which side of Everest Michael threw himself down, the bumps and valleys of Everest adding more distance and other variables, we can't really know the true distance Michael travelled. So height above sea level is the best thing we have, unfortunately

I just love how we all seem to colectively agree that mount everest is 8km in height when in reality, from base to top is actually around 5km, 8km is just the height when measured from sea level, with that in mind, Mauna Kea raises 10km from the bottom of the ocean.

Bro, Mt. Everest is only circa 4 km higher than it's surroundings.. The mounting range starts to rise over 100 km from the peak. So, from the foot of the mountain, climber has to ascent around half of what is presented here.

I've got some idea of comparison series. --- How much car can get through thin gap between the wall? Which car is more slippery on rainy roads (also can be other types of ground) then normal roads? Which car is heavier? Which car can jump further? Which cars can use the least numbers to full the area most? How long can airplane fly upside down? How much time/distance needed for landing airplanes? Airplane speed comparison. etc --- If you are lack of idea, feel free to use one of these.

If mount chiliad is 797 meters high, than showing the Mount Everest next to it, the Mount Everest should be more than 10 times that size, but looking at time 0:38, it’s only about 4 times the size. So the mountain shown in this video is only approximately 3.2 km tall.😂

The actual mountain is about 4000 meters tall. Most people ignore/are unaware that it juts out of an already ~4000 meter tall Tibetan Plateau. The Base Camp at the foot of the mountain is already at 5000 meters elevation. You assume the mountain itself was jutting out from sea level.
