My condolences to all of the fallen angels that died on 9/11. As a ny native I remember always riding the trains or busses to go uptown when the classic wtc was here with us. I mainly drive and take the bus now to travel around my city. Those were good times back then #lovefromnyc. Keep up the great content!

I saw the one world trade center. I went there 3 times alone and each time it was a sad experience. The atmosphere is very quiet even though you’re surrounded by many people. But the sun was bright and you could feel the wind blowing there. The new building is so beautiful and shiny, You could see the blue sky and clouds reflecting off of it 💕

What a great job they did with this mod. Wow. Praise to the dev's who made this mod. Exceptional stuff. Lot of hours of hard work went into this no doubt. Close enough I'd say, the building models immediately evoke a sense of nostalgia yet also feelings of sadness and pain. Looking back, I kind of like to think the twin towers though just two huge tall constructs, two giant twin buildings for workers, somehow 'came to life' in moments of despair. Its almost as if they 'knew' they were in trouble, and despite being severely wounded they still 'stood tall' for as long as they both could in order to allow to help those who could escape, escape despite knowing they wouldn't be able to 'stand tall' forever again. I believe the man in the center picture on the wall was Minoru Yamasaki, the lead architect of the World Trade Center. He also designed the One Williams Tower in Tulsa, Oklahoma which is identical to the WTC but half the size, and instead of pointed arches at the bottom, it has rounded arches.

The 9/11 was a very scary event in New York, nearly over 3,000 people died, 2 planes hitted the twin towers, 1 plane hitted the pentagon, 1 plane nose dived into a clear field.

The queues were meant for the visitors & tourists to line up to go to the observation deck at 2 World Trade Center(South Tower), Idk why WTC mod has the queues on 1 World Trade Center(North Tower) where the tower only has the Windows on the world restaurant on the 106th & 107th Floor while the South tower has the indoor observation deck on the 107th floor & the outdoor observation deck at the top of the south tower(110th Floor)

I can't believe this year will mark 20 years already. 😥 On another note, I believe I did find a video one year on KZbin someone published of the actual inside of the building a couple of years before it happened. Just someone with a camcorder walking around. I will have to search if I can find it again.

Their was a women the "surived" the jump I put in qutoes cause she lived but not for long a medic found her before the collapse and put down a band that said she was dead she look up with fear and said she wasn't dead and the man attempted to comfort her and said it was a mistake and gave her a tag that said she was alive in needed help she died shortly after.

By the way, the windows in the 107 Floor windows of the World Bar/Restaurant were actually wider than in the rest of the building because the columns between the windows were narrower (They did it wrong in this model)

This actually is a sculpture and fountain that has been in the Austin J Tobin plaza since they towers were constructed in 73, although I believe you were thinking of a smaller fountain and memorial that was for the 93 bombing that was located in between the north tower and the Marriott/Vista hotel.

That’s Fritz Koenig’s “The Sphere” sculpture you’re looking at. The 1993 memorial was located on the very right in front of 3 WTC in the plaza (the building in between the North and South Tower).

@@Mattster8159 WTC 7 collapsed due to falling debris from WTC 1 (North tower). Fires in the building caused the pins to fail and the floors collapsed. The NIST investigation goes deeper.

I'll tell you who the photographs of the 3 people in the North Tower lobby are. From left to right it's Leslie E. Robertson, who was the lead structural engineer for the WTC. In the middle is Minoru Yamasaki who was the architect. On the right is Austin J Tobin, who was Executive Director of the Port Authority. All 3 of these men were most responsible for the mammoth project of the time. The original builders yes.

the reconstructed World Trade Center has more than only 1wtc, it also has 3, 4 and 7 World Trade Center as well as a shopping mall and the memorial. it's a beautiful place.

Not a little known fact: the reason the North Tower was for TV reception because originally the empire state building was used for it but when the world trade center was added in the 1980s they put the antenna on the North Tower (Tower 1) also another little known fact is the WTC had its own Fire house (Engine 10 and Ladder 10) on liberty street right by the south tower

You asked about the images of who might be the original builders. I suggest that one of them might be Guy F. Tozzoli of the NY NJ Port Authority. Mr Tozzoli hired MInoru Yamasaki to design/build the WTC.
