Here's my theory... The Grove Street Families got killed, (Except for CJ and possibly Sweet) And the Ballas took over The Grove at some point prior to GTAV. Then the "Seville Boulevard Families" became the "Carson Avenue Families set." "The Temple Drive Families set" became the "Forum Families set" And the remaining Grove streeters formed the Chamberlain Gangster Families set in Chamberlain Hills? Maybe?

Claude I think that cj after the ending of gta sa stopped caring about the gang and hoodlife after he became rich and he left Grove street so sweet and the rest of the gang started losing influence and became to weak and then the Ballas moved in and the Azteca left Los Santos to be Blaine County

It's just that "Grove Street" was said so much in GTA S.A that it actually confused people into thinking the Gangs name was actually "Grove Street" no, it was always The Families was the Gangs ACTUAL name, it's just that the Grove Street Families happened to be the original set of The Families, even back in 1992 not ALL Families were Grove Streets... there were two other sets then too.

+Potato tK I started a new game and when I am able to play as Franklin y press control+n to watch the territories and then I play I don't really know how much time but 2-3 missions. I think 2 hours is enough to see the notification. If you play a lot more than 2 hours like 5-6 I think that's not normal so probably you have an incompatible mod or something. Anyway, try what I did, start a new game, ctrl+n and do some missions.

It's not 1992.... there ARE no more Grove Street Families now, it annoys me how when people refer to "The Families" in GTA V they refer to them as "Grove Street" no! It's clearly explained in the story that the Grove Street Familes set are no longer in existance and I'm sure a LOT of players when they first purchased GTA V knew, found and visited Grove Street instantly and could clearly see that The Ballas now control that neighborhood!

Technically, "Grove Street Families" is still in existence, it has multiple gang members and a territory prone to their kind; although grove street has been taken over, the gang and gang members are branched out from grove street and are where they are today, someone referring to "Families" as "Grove Street Families" would be correct, even the story mode tells you about this fact...
